Good to visit the Wire Works Project and see the Megalopolis show by Ivan Smith, go for a walk in the glorious Shining Cliff Wood and buy a bottle of Shining Cliff gin from the distillery next door. The gallery opens again tomorrow (Saturday 11-4 ) for the last day of the show. A day out?
Yesterday children from Mellers Primary School met Future Machine and made flowers from recycling. This one was designed with a weather pole on it to be like Future Machine! We will be meeting in Christ Church Gardens under the cherry trees tomorrow at 2pm when you can see both close up, eat blossom cake from @smallfoodbakery , speak to the futureand something will happen! #whenthefuturecomes #futuremachine #blossoms
Each year when the trees blossom over the road from @weareprimary , folks meet underneath the trees (this Saturday 3 pm) to talk about the future, and Ania makes a blossom cake. Its been a ritual here for many years, and for me it has come to be a hopeful week, the begining of lighter days, people being more uplifted, change afoot and of course, the gardens and hedgerows bursting into life.
Join the group this Saturday 5th April in the park opposite the bakery, or just come and enjoy a square of cake all to yourself and contemplate the season ahead!
