D5 The Miseducation of A Ladyboy Pt1 In this project, a group of queer artists from China produced a series of photographs and videos. We try to make the complex feel light-hearted, to break heavy symbols down into toys, to tear down the stereotypes around identity narratives to shreds. This project is not a f lag-waving declaration, nor another tired slogan on the chessboard of politics, but a group of young people who feel out of place in both Eastern and Western worlds, using their most mocking, playful language to poke fun at the cultural and political labels surrounding them.
