Join us for a unique and thought-provoking day as Central Saint Martins’ MA Performance: Screen presents a sharing of works from our talented students. Showcasing the culmination of our students’ hard work in response to the “Changing Stories” brief.
Our students have embarked on a creative journey to explore and address environmental issues through the powerful medium of storytelling. The result is a diverse collection of works, ranging from captivating short films to live performances and immersive installations. Each piece uniquely interprets the theme, offering fresh perspectives on how we can engage with and understand the
intersectional environmental challenges facing our world today.
Certain locations will have a maximum capacity, so we will be operating on a first come first serve basis.

Vyraea is a new live event series with a focus on amplifying femme-aligned artists in development of their time-based, sonic practices. With a focus on intensity, intimacy, and affect in live performance, the programming sits between experimental electronic music and sound art.
Positioning the body as a source of transformation, we welcome 5 international and 2 local artists that work with sound to explore themes of permanence and flux, grief and healing, sentimentality, memory and healing; the night sonically weaves between classical orchestration, dream and baroque-pop, contemporary club, trap, neofolk, slowcore, electroclash & more.
You are invited to the first instalment of Vyrae next Saturday @alghasplantroom .

After nearly two weeks since The Other One ended, I finally feel ready to reflect on it properly.
Everything Nova does, the “other one” she longs to become, the life she wants to live, the material things she craves, and even her “dream”, all come from one thing: desire. And that is where The Other One began.
I started the creation process with colour. To me, desire felt red, so everything Nova longs for is red. But showing one’s true desires is never easy. Nova always tries to present herself as the kind of “good girl” society expects, so everything she shows outwardly becomes the opposite: pure white.
Aurora is the perfect person in Nova’s eyes, everything Nova wishes she could have. After Aurora gone, Nova finally gets everything she wanted. At first Aurora’s ghost terrifies her, but gradually it becomes comforting. If she can endlessly imitate the person she admires without ever being exposed, maybe that is enough. Until one reckless dance breaks the boundary between them. Nova sees the radiant Aurora appear before her once again, and shame and resentment drive her to attack Aurora desperately.
But when Nova finally tries to reveal her own desires and truly reach for what she wants, she realises how difficult it is. The desires that once felt within reach begin to choke and restrain her, like tangled vines wrapping around her body. Only when Aurora appears in the end and frees her does Nova finally understand that the Aurora she longed to become was never the other one at all.
Looking back at the recording after the show, there were many imperfections, just as I expected. From entering the theatre to the final show, we only had eight intense hours in total, and surely there are still many regrets and unfinished ideas. But no matter what, I learned how to grow through imperfection.
Lastly, thank you to every faculty member, technician, classmate, and friend at Central Saint Martins who helped me along the way. I truly cannot imagine finishing this without you. And thank you to everyone who came to the show on April 21st and dreamed this dream together with me ❤️🤍

A huge round of applause for BETWEEN > 1 premiered at Platform Theatre 🔥
We made a piece about what lives in the gap — between bodies, between languages, between the self you present and the one underneath. Somewhere in that gap, the work was seen.
Thank you for sitting with it. Thank you for letting it stay open.
See you at the Courtyard Theatre for Camden Fringe Festival, 7 + 8 August 2026! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

To our amazing team who made this across the world. ✨

A hybrid performance combining theatre, electronic music, and audiovisual installation. As past, present, and future begin to overlap, the act of prediction destabilizes memory, choice, and reality itself.

BETWEEN > 1
BETWEEN >1 delves into the depths of a woman’s inner fears and desires, dissecting the paradox of “love” through the exposure of conflict and vulnerability. When intimacy falls into a dangerous cycle, what form does true love take? And when the echoes of childhood refuse to fade, how can a fractured self begin to restore inner order?

(no) Pause is a performative exhibition designed by Shuyi Alice Wang @shuyi.alice combining installation, movement, and live jazz music. In the wake of Samuel Beckett’s Happy Days, Alice responds to the question “how to live in this unmoored time” with her grandfather’s words: “I only need to do exactly the same as yesterday.” The work loops every 24 minutes, repeated three times.
This exhibition was shown on 23 April 2026 at 6pm in the Studio Theater at Central Saint Martins, London, as part of Scenoworks. Other Scenoworks pieces will be shown over the following days—please check the bio of @performancecsm .
