Flashback to when we went to Scotland and worked with @home_in_bristol and created a story driven interactive film for @scottishwater . The engaging and emotional character driven film brought the importance of Safe Choices to life with a series of real life situations that take place onsite at Scottish Water in North Queensferry. Shot in just 2 days we created over 30 mins of footage for the film. Our main character Mark was played by Chris Alexander. Our small flexible crew were.. Capturing @2lgstudio work a little while ago… Playscape was created’ for @vitralondon in Clerkenwell for @l_d_f_official a few years go.. We were lucky to be invited by @vitralondon to create content of the incredible Playscape that Jordan and Russell created. The new installation features the Istanbul range from VitrA , the creative designers used monochrome forms and a flavour of classic sci-fi to celebrate the range. It’s rare that I enjoy as much as I did when I first watched ‘When She Sings’ And it wasn’t even finished! Getting to add that cherry on top has been brilliant. With such an encouraging team around me, working on some of the most invisible VFX work I’ve done in a long time has been such a blast. I can’t wait to see it when it’s done. This film features a creature with a grotesquely mauled face and curling, sodden fingers that haunts my dreams - and trips to the bathroom. 🎬 Meet Our Editor: Ben Williams Butt ✂️ Every great story comes to life in the edit, and we’re thrilled to have Ben Williams Butt shaping the rhythm and emotion of When She Sings. 🎞️ Meet our editor Ben is a Bristolian editor with over a decade of experience, having cut nearly 20 short films and a feature film in that time. He approaches every project with emotion and story at the heart of his decision-making, ensuring every cut has intent and impact. As well as drama, Ben also works in digital content, natural history, documentary, and children’s television.   Ben says ‘When She Sings’ was such a challenging and rewarding film to edit. Rather than only focusing on story, Paul and I centred our process around tone, emotion and feel – which is exactly how I love to cut. Over the past six years, Paul and I have developed a fantastic working relationship – trusting each other’s opinions implicitly, never taking disagreements personally, and challenging every decision with discussion and reasoning. I feel honoured and fortunate to be surrounded by such a fantastic group of filmmakers and people. This was also the most collaborative editing process I have had the pleasure of working in. I’m as itching to see the final piece as anyone.
