This album serves as a sequel to my debut LP, where the pervious album delved into my past, ‘Aku’ honestly captures my current state of mind. Born from the depths of my soul and reflecting a profound exploration of identity and existence.

𝗟𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗼𝘀 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗲́ 𝗱𝗲 𝗪𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗮̀ 𝗔𝗦𝗜𝗔𝗡 𝗖𝗢𝗥𝗘
Née en 1993 dans l’isolement de Bornéo, Wanton Witch sculpte le son comme on façonne des sortilèges, entre techno déstructurée et électro sauvage. Émigrant à Bangkok, elle traverse les scènes musicales comme on traverse des mondes parallèles, du trap au hardcore. Cofondatrice du collectif queer underground Non Non Non, elle transforme les nuits de la ville en tableaux sonores fracturés et incandescents. Ses compositions, à mi-chemin entre collage sonore et paysage expérimental, explorent l’identité, le chaos et la beauté rugueuse de la marginalité. Avec son premier album acclamé en 2021, Wanton Witch s’impose comme une fulgurante reine alchimiste.

Wanton Witch creates music that feels like a reflection of the aggregation that
already exists within musical internet sub-cultures and communities. Her music creates a place where many diverse and contrasting sound palettes, textures, and structures can fit together to create a new different, Queer way of seeing the world.
Wanton Witch plumbs the depths of her lived experience to produce a chaotic and scathingly honest portrait of her state of being. Her electrostatic landscapes ruthlessly pursue their own interests, building rickety bridges between the rhythmic propulsion of hardcore and a darkened rave anti-euphoria.
At its core, Wanton’s modus operandi is to allow for an understanding of the trans experience by way of empathy. This makes for a vision wrought with vulnerability and heartfelt honesty to the point that Wanton’s compositions become alarmingly accessible. It arrives as another sublime body of work that utilises and subverts the conventions of electronic music to humanise the experience of being other.

Threesound Expo 2025 Details: Political Disappointment is an immersive, three-day event that explores the powerful role of music and sound in political change, protest, and revolution taking place in Berlin on September 12-14 and will feature a dynamic mix of performances, sound installations, artist talks, workshops, and discussions, offering a space for collective reflection on the intersection of politics, art, and activism. Through the lens of music’s role in protest and revolution, the expo aims to foster understanding, spark dialogue, and highlight the role of sound in shaping political movements.
