‘frank dean and andrew’ by @ebisoda is out today idk what to say. this was a personal mission in coherency. my mantra was “leave no stone unturned”. I think it worked. tbh it feels like a boys to men album. a lot of life happened in & around this one, for everyone. I heard the saying “the difficult 2nd album” and I think this lives up to that name haha. there’s a lot that could be said but for now I just want to just want to give thanks to the boys @conorknight_ @blanklou @schlichdiddy @danielgraytpt & Hari-Lee Evans for just being yourselves and delivering all the natural sauce, and reminding to keep it fun and absurd esp through the course of this album 🫶 love to every friend who really brought it to this album and was a pleasure to work with as always: @james__akers @beth_a_hopkins @jpcomposing @malachisiner @jianboforever 💙 love to everyone who really makes this happen and gets ebi out to the world, that is @ez_goomi on the artwork, @tru_thoughts w/ @y__rhys @robertluis and Paul Jonas for releasing the dang album and the support, and @agnese_daverio of @avalanche_music_agency who is the reason we have shows at all, and a tour to go with this album next year 🖤 honourable mentions go to @tom.bjorn for engineering the main week in great oakley, as well as @subarudad.soda @janko_world @jhxrli for shooting video and @conorknight_ for editing together a whole ass film of the album, and Hari-Lee for banger film photos . my spotify front page slapped me with this sight the other day. mixing these two LPs was my life for 2024, and some of 2023. I spent far too long on both of them, cutting my teeth to learn through them to get alright at what I do / want to do. but seeing them b2b made looking back at the experience very surreal and beautiful. I've never finished mixing two LP's in the same year before. the former, 'Everything For The Family' by @jianboforever is out now. my first LP rap release mixed by me, vocal engineering on ~50% of the tunes, co-production on 'Gravity', 'Oath of the Peach Garden' with @parkland888 (+ my man @malachisiner on cello starting Oath), and 'Exhale (Point Hill)' with @hiltsldn and @india___blue too many moments / aspects of working on this project to mention: watching my man Jianbo pour everything in to process loss was such a powerful and pure experience of music to watch. receiving projects made from stories on the other side of the world. it was inspirational to work with the sounds made by everyone involved either directly in session, or indirectly through the Logic faders: @hiltsldn @parkland888 @t.o.producedit @india___blue @itslooroll @thenunchuckprincess @youthful.wizardry @gtknamani @jedbevington @mrskydaddy @charliekeen.silverbirch @jonnysimon.wav @biganimaltheory @charli.wayne and too many more to mention enjoy. swipe for a clip of 'Gravity' live. and then if pre-saving is your thing, pull up to the next one - 'frank dean and andrew' by @ebisoda , releasing 19th september

quite like this year so far, even if it started fkin terribly - ‘feely’ from @ebisoda might be one of our best tunes we’ve ever made and it features a longtime friend @malachisiner on cello. we had our own jazz band when we were 15 back when we were colchester saturday morning music school yoots, and I couldn’t ask for a better next scene in the story with bringing homie into an ebi soda tune. slack jazz will always be slack jazz haha - in late 2022 @conorknight_ showed me @jianboforever and I was a fan immediately. very glad to have contributed to his latest two tunes since starting to work with my man in 2023 - ‘Cradle 2 the Sky’ featuring @mrskydaddy and ‘Exhale (Point Hill)’ featuring @india___blue , mixing and vocal engineering on both, bass guitar and additional production alongside @hiltsldn and @charli.wayne of @blackcountrynewroad on drums on Exhale, additional violin + flute arranging on Cradle alongside @charliekeen.silverbirch @jonnysimon.wav and @parkland888 - ‘Trojans’ is the latest from @damienordame and is next in a long line of upcoming VVilhelm alt rap productions+mixes for bro, this one has some sprinkles of guitar from @conorknight_ and drums from @camdrums . we’ve also been enjoying some shows supporting @rizzlekicks with another homie @robin.g.breeze this year but yeah there’s still more to come this year dw

All roads lead to Peckham for UK jazz heads this Saturday! @nadavschneerson has brought together some of the finest improvisers in the capital for his live album launch party. His band includes some of the most exciting young jazz musicians in London today - the mega-talented @sultan.stevenson on keys, a brass section made up of @samwarnertpt (Riot Jazz Brass Band) on trumpet, @james__akers (Levitation Orchestra) on sax, and William @vv_illhelm Heaton (Ebi Soda) on trombone, plus @georgerichardsonbass on double bass and @ekin_guitar bringing a middle-eastern influence to proceedings on the oud.
