Mais l’histoire, elle, me hantait depuis longtemps — depuis La Tercera Vida, mon documentaire qui dresse le portrait d’une femme sur le point de sortir de prison après y avoir passé plusieurs années. Avec Cap Farewell, j’ai voulu aller plus loin : mêler le réel et la fiction, faire naître une intrigue criminelle dans une ambiance de film noir. La sortie du film est prévue le 15 avril pour la Belgique 🇧🇪 -ENG- Cap Farewell was shot in the spring of 2024. But the story haunted me for a long time — ever since La Tercera Vida, my documentary portraying a woman about to be released from prison after spending several years behind bars. With Cap Farewell, I wanted to go further: blending reality and fiction, weaving a criminal plot through a film-noir atmosphere. The film is set to be released the 15th April in Belgium 🇧🇪 -NL- Cap Farewell werd gedraaid in het voorjaar van 2024. Maar het verhaal spookte al lang door mijn hoofd — sinds La Tercera Vida, mijn documentaire over een vrouw die op het punt staat de gevangenis te verlaten na er meerdere jaren te hebben doorgebracht. Met Cap Farewell wilde ik een stap verder gaan: de werkelijkheid en fictie vermengen, met een crimineel verhaal in een film-noir sfeer.
