The virtual presentation brought together the Lux Futurum team, jury members, contributors, and members of the global lighting community to guide participants through the submission journey and explore what the future of lighting could look like. @lux.futurum | Season 3 officially launched in Frankfurt. ✨ During @Light + Building 2026, the Virtual Lighting Design Community @vld.community team gathered at the Design Plaza to launch the third season of Lux Futurum. Hosted by Amardeep Dugar (@amardeepdugar ), the session marked the official opening of submissions for Lux Futurum Year 3, inviting designers, researchers, and innovators from around the world to submit projects, concepts and products shaping the future of light. 📣 Submissions are now open until 31 July 2026. Unfortunately Cherine Saroufim (@cherinesaroufim ), representing the university team behind MURFi, wasn’t able to attend in person, so Amardeep kindly presented the project on her behalf. What an incredible moment for the @Silhouette Awards community at @Light +Building Frankfurt during the #FutureForum by @vld.community ✨ It was inspiring to see familiar faces and new voices, mentors, mentees, partners and supporters, coming together to celebrate Year 5 of the programme and reflect on the future of our profession.
