I thought I knew what street art looked like, but nothing prepares you for the scale of the Wynwood Walls. Founded in 2009, the artists have turned a neighborhood of warehouses into a premier outdoor museum. Witnessing this much art at such a massive scale for the first time was incredible.
It’s one thing to see graffiti in passing; it’s another to be completely surrounded by over 80,000 square feet of curated expressions from the world’s most renowned street artists. Its a total immersion in color and creativity. My first time seeing art on this scale, and I’m officially inspired. Wynwood isn’t just a district—it’s a movement.

The Black-crowned Night Heron is a native of almost every continent except Antarctica and Australia! 🌍 This winter has been extraordinary: for the first time in all my years here, a colony has chosen the tree cover right next to my house as their breeding ground!
It’s a great sight every morning during my terrace yoga session to watch these beautiful birds. While they can be pretty noisy at night (blame the bright streetlights disrupting their sleep cycles! 😩), witnessing this natural phenomenon right from my terrace has made this a truly memorable season.

Dr Amardeep M. Dugar, Founder & Principal at Lighting Research & Design (Chennai, India), will present lighting design strategies rooted in the concept of salutogenesis – a wellness-focused approach that contrasts with illness-centred pathogenesis.
His session explores why this shift is needed, how to implement it, and the challenges of applying such a broad and innovative strategy to enhance health, well-being and performance.
The presentation will examine lighting as a tangible solution to an often-intangible issue, using the eight dimensions of wellness defined by SAMHSA: physical, emotional, spiritual, intellectual, environmental, social, occupational and financial.
Dr Dugar will also introduce a novel method for bridging the gap between high-concept design theory and practical construction, offering real value to health, performance and quality of life.
