last july I had the absolute pleasure of working on two beautiful projects. the first was a wonderfully kooky and charming physical theatre advert for @kindnesssg . thank you @bless7up @seranyeo @krstnviola for having me on board as your movement director, for hearing me, and for weaving community around this project so delicately. shoutout to the amazing multi-hyphenate talents, actors and crew who took on the challenge with such open arms. @benjaminkheng @the.smiling.afro @tommynbcb @chowjiahui @esh_wari @iamfarahlola @karen_beeeee @st.gen @gabrielle.romauli @meifei.s , @waynelimww @herdi_saadon and for so many others I do not have on IG. very much looking forward to sharing the final outcome with all of you ✨ ——————— the second project was a re-staging and development of a performance titled Dido and the Belindas, as part of @tworkssg DNA fest. because of my training at @iti_sg , working with t:>works, a company at the forefront of intercultural and interdisciplinary collaboration, has been such a delight. 72-13 felt like a home that held me so tenderly, and i’m already anticipating the day i return to this space. the rehearsal process was short, but the sense of community and warmth that emerged from this show has been nothing short of a blessing and most definitely lives on. thank you @kso2009 for your guidance, direction and love. Read the Room, jointly presented by @translucentbodiessg and @strangerconvos , is an introductory level clowning workshop part of a larger mission to teach 100 people clowning in Singapore. This project titled 100 clowns is an attempt at creating a tiny gash here in Singapore for qualities such as vulnerability, sensitivity, joy and humour to rush right in. Since October 2024, we have managed to reach 69 participants. 100 clowns was birthed by Vignesh Kumar Singh, an independent theatre artist advocating for this genre of performance within Southeast Asia. #100clowns #clowning #theatre #actor #teaching #coaching #singapore #sgarts #local #southeastasia
