Let’s do it again. As always, we’re not promising you the experience of a lifetime—just some fun on the bikes and a good time together after the ride. We look forward to seeing lots of you there, all in great shape.
First bike build since getting back from my trip, and I really had a blast with this one. Needless to say, I’ve been an @opencycle fan for 10 years and have sold a bunch of first-generation U.P./Wi.De models. Beyond the undeniable quality of their products, I love the brand’s philosophy—“Working hard to stay small”—and that almost amateurish, no-frills approach to marketing.
This new generation of U.P. frames retains Open’s DNA—comfort—while adding just the right amount of aerodynamics and modern design. Production has now been moved back to Portugal, which is a definite plus. The Adventure version has just been released for those who want to push the limits.
All frames are available in an RTP (ready to paint) version, allowing you to have fun with custom colors like on this one. To take customization even further, beautiful parts like the @ingridcomponents Pop crankset and @chriskingbuzz components remain staples I never tire of. I love supporting small brands owned by passionate people who fight to keep the alternative scene alive amidst the big corporations—thank you to all my customers who help make that happen.
After a wonderful 6-week bike trip that allowed us to escape the gloom of winter and test the reliability of various components and accessories, I’m back in top form to kick off the peak season. This trip further reinforced my belief that there is nothing more rejuvenating than the nature that surrounds us, and that cycling is one of the best ways to enjoy it. I did my best to respond to the many inquiries I received during my absence so that I could fulfill your orders and assist you as soon as I returned. For those who may not have received all the information they were looking for, please don’t hesitate to contact me again right away. Over the past six weeks, several brands that I’m proud to represent in the region have released some great new products. This is particularly true for @opencycle , @envecomposites , @salsacycles , @otsocycles , @sour.bicycles , and @oldmanmountainracks . Stop by for a coffee, and I’ll be happy to show you everything. It’s spring—time to plan your adventures!

Who said tall bikes couldn’t look cool? This @surlybikes Straggler 2026 in size 64 looks pretty damn good to me. After a decade without change, the Straggler is back with refined geometry, thru axles, flat mounts, 50mm tire clearance, and various improvements that make it even better than its predecessor. The Subtropic Algae color suits it particularly well. Have fun riding it.

If you’ve been good in 2025, I might be tempted to add two Wolftooth Morse Stainless bottle cages.
DM if interested and happy New Year’s Eve!
I couldn’t end the year any better than by delivering an exceptional bike that will ride for the next 20 years. When you buy a @mootscycles , you’re buying a timeless bike, built to last, you’re buying craftsmanship and experience that has been built up over 45 years. This Womble is an elegant blend of classic and modern parts selected for their aesthetics, reliability, and the philosophy of the brands that produce them: @chriskingbuzz , @wolf_tooth_comp , @canecreekusa , @paulcomponent , @ingridcomponents , @bikeyoke , @teravail , @bikethomson . This sliding dropout version leaves the door open for a single speed setup, which is sure to please our friend @kowa_bunga .
In my previous post, I said that your choice of hubs could set one bike apart from another. These aren’t the only parts that can add technicality and originality to your build. The crankset is clearly another major component on a bike. In this regard, I’ve been a fan of @ingridcomponents from the very beginning. This small Italian brand began producing cassettes and cranksets in 2015 and has since expanded its range to cover all disciplines, from road to downhill. Their designs combine a raw, industrial look with a refined finish to great effect. I highly recommend taking a look. Shown here are their 10-46 and 10-52 cassettes, MTB chainrings and their CRS-POP crankset paired with an Aero chainring. It’s beautiful and it’s made in Italy. Thanks to Giulio and his whole team!
I didn’t expect this @envecomposites Fray Toffee Brown color to go so well with the new Jade hubs from @chriskingbuzz . I’ve always thought that hubs are like jewelry for a bike, an opportunity to make one build more original or distinguished than another, especially when they combine aesthetics and precision engineering like Chris King does. Have fun riding this All-Road machine! #irideenve #chriskingbuzz
The first @opencycle U.P. I sold nine years ago was orange, had a Postmount brake mount, and was equipped with a massive 3T fork. In ten years, the only changes to this frame have been the Flatmount brake mount and the introduction of the U-Turn fork. Today, Open is going much further with a complete redesign of this iconic model. The main changes? Here they are, in summary:
- T47 bottom bracket
- ability to fit larger tires
- a more aerodynamic frame
- comes with seatpost and B.A.R. combo
- UDH compatible
- new inserts for attaching accessories
- made in Portugal
All these changes have been made while retaining what has always been the brand’s DNA: an unmatched performance/comfort ratio. Don’t be fooled by the photos, this Farn Green color is stunning in daylight. Come see for yourself at the shop. #opencycle #opencycleup
This bike is destined for great adventures, and that’s exactly what @otsocycles had in mind when they designed the Fenrir Ti. With stable, comfortable geometry, multiple mounting points, and titanium construction that can withstand the roughest conditions, everything has been designed to make you want to spend long hours and long years riding it. Otso also pays attention to detail with this superb head badge and engravings on the dropouts. #otsocycles #otsofenrir #titaniumbikes
A loose screw, a misaligned brake caliper, a bent handlebar after a minor crash, a mechanical issue can ruin your day on the bike. That’s exactly what @daysaver.fun wants to help you avoid with a range of minimalist tools that are easy to carry with you or on your bike. Here is the Essential8, which has 8 functions (Hex 8-6-5-4-3-2.5-2-Torx25) and weighs only 33g. It can be paired with the Coworking5 for additional functions (chain tool, tire lever, spoke wrench/hub wrench, quick link). Everything can be neatly carried on your bike with an extra inner tube if you have bottle cage inserts available to install their strap mount. It’s neat and very well designed. Enjoy your bike and have a nice day. #daysaverfun
