Crime iz cardio ⚡️ from the izmz of iz and iznts out on @eglorecords right now
This one came to be in a session with @typesun last year where we decided to fling some drums in the sampler and not over think it , we tag teamed it jumping between the sampler and his keyboard rack and in about 2 hrs we had the bulk of this and were buzzing , I’ve been a massive fan of @antipopconsortium for years and immediately wanted to get @hprizm to vocal it and the planets aligned for that⚡️⚡️and he smashed it
Grab it on the eglo bandcamp and everywhere else

Everything we need is OURS! 🧡🌍🌳✊🏽
TODAY I am releasing the @typesun remix of my track ‘Everything is Need is Mine’ exclusively on @bandcamp to celebrate Ancestors Day!
Every year we remember one of our Ancestors, celebrate them and learn from their life.
Today, it is my great-grandfather, Eric Brown, who ended up being the Conservator of Forests for the whole of Jamaica and British Honduras 🇯🇲
You can swipe to see him as the only person of colour on the lawn in front of Jamaica house when receiving his MBE from queen Elizabeth in 1971.
He was honoured for protecting and preserving huge swathes of the forests on the island.
Described as a ‘man of vision’, Eric said that he was influenced by his lineage to the Taino people, the indigenous communities of the Caribbean, particularly by their generational thinking and their reciprocal relationship to the land. 🌳
‘Everything I Need is Mine’ is inspired by him and is me harnessing the power and vision of his life to help create a future that is mindful of our future ancestors at this crucial moment in human history. ✊🏽
A dramatic contrast to the flavour of the original, the most energetic and classically ‘soul’ track of the album, the remix is a free jazz re-imagination by Typesun (aka my friend Luke Harney)
Both surprising and beautiful, I think the dark shades allows the spirit and message of the vocal to shine through even more brightly:
How are WE called to be good ancestors to future generations right now? ✨
It’s out TODAY and you can stream it exclusively on Bandcamp via the link in my bio. 🎶
This is the LAST remix from my album and I’m going to be signing off now for the summer to rest, reset and reflect on what is next. ☀️
See you on the other side! 👌🏽

Amazing documentary on the Yup’ik Eskimo people of Emmonak called “The Drums of Winter”. Remembering why we do we do after a great chat with @drumcatmurray earlier today. Produced in a collaborative process with the community, the film also serves as a damning indictment of the effects of the first wave of colonial missionaries on the local culture, spirituality and connection to the natural world; and a precious document of an unbroken tradition of initiation. Found on ‘Kanopy’ - a new discovery for documentaries and indie films of all shapes and sizes.
Short and sharp critique of the ideas that underpin our economic system from Ayn Rand to Alan Greenspan, to The Crash and what the author refers to as the 'Age of Selfishness'. Polemical and vastly abbreviated but a great introduction to the origins of Neo-liberalism and the irrational fixation with the ideals of laissez-faire economics.
If any of that interests you it's definitely worth a read.
