All Together Now by Trycheck, now streaming! I wrote this song as a reflection on how connecting with others often looks and feels in this day and age. While not specifically a holiday tune in the traditional sense, it feels right for this time of year. Ok, ok NOW it’s here!! I started recording this album just about two years ago. I took my time and pushed myself to be a better songwriter, producer, and player in every aspect I could. I learned so much from the process and I’m happy with the results. I hope you’ll listen and tell me what you think! I’m grateful for all the musicians who played a part and made this possible including the core band, Ramon, Tom, and Anthony, who played on just about everything and shaped these songs along the way. Especially big thanks to Ramon for being so engaged in this project from beginning to end. He played, listened, provided feedback and saw a vision when I often gave him just a dry rhythm guitar and vocal track to work with. Life Out of Balance as an album addresses relationships - with others, the world around us, and with ourselves. At one point, I hoped I could solve all the problems I was writing about but I realized it was more realistic to take stock and identify what was out of balance to begin with. The creative well was feeling dry this week until I wrote this song yesterday. Inspired by recent sunsets, conversations, and noticing subtle changes. Still some things to work out and my piano is a bit loud but enjoy this lil autumnal tune!!
