I’ve taken up hand-sewing! I made all of these without any plan or template and I kind of love how they’re all a little bit… off. Lol - Just thought I would share. Creepy clown doll and giant squid are my favorite. The squid was actually made out of the lining of an old accordion case!!
@noelinehofmann and I joined the 4-timers club on the same night at the @opry last night!! And if there’s any justice in this industry @charliejackmusic will long surpass that before the next time I play it again. I am so lucky that experiences like this are just a part of my job and that I get to share it with such great friends as these two…

This is taken on Christmas morning, early 1950’s, just after my grandma received this accordion as a gift. She told me she took the two free lessons that came with the instrument and then never picked it up again… My great-grandpa then tried to get my mom to learn, but it didn’t stick with her either… Then my grandma convinced me to pick up THE VERY ACCORDION IN THIS VIDEO! (I still have it, although it is busted up pretty significantly…) In a way, my accordion journey started on that Christmas Day in the 50’s!
My grandma often tells me how much she wishes her father could see me now because he tried so hard to get one of them to play. 🥲 Thought I’d share this little piece of history. ❤️

I’ve loved this song, that John Denver sang in his Muppets special, since I was a kid. I made this simple little recording for myself, and to share with a few close friends and family, and ended up falling in love with it. I’m so happy to share it with the world now!! Recently, because there’s no commercially released recording of it, I made a recording of myself singing/playing it on the ukulele just for personal listening, but I’ve accidentally fallen in love with that recording and have decided to release it into the world next Wednesday, 11/12, on my precious niece Clover’s second birthday. 😊
It has a very sweet, positive message, and I hope it gives y’all some encouragement next week. :) Figured I should make a little post ahead of time. Enjoy Clover’s unquestionable fashion sense in the meantime!
