So much of the work of an independent producer is what the public does not see, the research, development and preproduction time you canāt really sing about!
Which makes posting updates on socials a bit hard.
Sometimes we arenāt able to show what weāve been working on for months and years, which probably looks like weāre not working on anything at all, but in fact, as all producers know, the opposite is true.

Last week as I walked along a beautiful beach in Kefalonia, with the love of my life beside me, armed with oodles of beautiful birthday messages sent from dear friends and family around the world, I also walked into a new decade.
Feeling stronger and clearer than ever before of my lifeās goals and purpose, Iām also aware of how much more there is to learn, see and do. I have so much gratitude for being free to make choices, to work on impactful films, to try to make a difference to our planet, to support others, and to be supported and loved as I am.

Kevin, Oscar and I have been fostering this gorgeous little girl Elsa with the hopes of adopting her permanently. Sheās divine, she snuffles and squeaks and purrs like a freight train, and Iām already smitten š„° Weāve missed Mimi so much since she passed away suddenly in August 2021, and here 3 years nearly to the day later, Elsa has come to us. Itās not easy, introducing a new rescue cat to our amazing dude Oscar. But through patience, love and a production schedule on par to a feature film š¤¦š»āāļø, weāll get there in our own time. Today is #InternationalTigerDay. The first film I shot and produced, The Tigers Voice (2016), began as a project inspired by my passion and work in tiger conservation in India.
A story about human tiger conflict, natural habitat loss, and the fact there are more tigers in captivity than are left in the wild, the film heroes grassroots programs and individuals that truly make a difference to tiger conservation on the ground.
It was through making this film that I decided to pivot my career, turning my production skillset into creating content with impact.
Perhaps one of the projects Iām most proud of conceiving, writing, filming and producing is #NotAPet, a 5-part series of short films about the illegal pet trade, and the role that social media plays in the parading and trading of exotic wild animals.
Storytelling and making films is a privilege, especially when you can help bring awareness to those without a voice, and support to the people and organisations on the ground who work tirelessly to protect our natural world.
