Yāall Iāve been dying to share my mental health journey over the last year. But In order to honor myself & my needs I couldnāt prioritize social media because content was also triggering my anxiety lol ironic.
To be clear, everyone is different and I hold zero judgment for anyone who desires to be on medication, in therapy or to do none of the above.
My goal is to open even the tiniest window for someone to approach improving their mental health. So please share if you feel thereās someone out there that this could help.
Iāve often felt like being a resource needs to look or be presented a certain way. This has significantly slowed me down and in many cases, stopped me from being a resource at all. My journey although tough, has successfully contributed to my evolution. I fully embrace that no oneās (possibly) negative opinion of me matters more than my purpose to help others does.
With more and more people talking about mental health and its importance, I also find that expression in its most genuine form is just as important.

Saturday, After crawling through Death Valley in midday heat and strong head wind, we came back to discover our RV had a flat lol.
The team seamlessly switched gears and I laid down and prayed for a calmer segment while the boys got someone out to fix the tire.
Until this point my lungs were still crushed from the smoke, I felt like I wasnāt warming up and I couldnāt settle into a rhythm⦠so I just focused on checking the boxes and hoping for the best- stretch, fuel, hydrate, sleep as much as possible.
As we prepared for our shift change, we all got to experience the most beautiful sunset together and our pod left to begin the night shift.
That moment where we took time to be present with each other and just enjoy the scenery gave me so much energy.
Suddenly the wind and elevation let up, the road was quiet and everything just felt GOOD.
39 hours in, I hit my stride. Talk about a 3rd quarter athlete lol.
Last week was full of these moments that have honestly altered my brain chemistry. Iām just so grateful God keeps presenting me with opportunities to experience more of this world and more of myself.
I never thought Iād be dreaming about running around in the dark on uneven pavement and gravel but⦠I get it now.

Every race is an opportunity to see just how much love exists in your life. How many times you can choose yourself and how much support can be poured into you.
Itās one of the most special things about choosing to compete as an adult.
Itās finally time to head west and as anxious as I am- as challenging as life has been⦠Iāve won yet again just being part of this community.
The work is done, itās just one more plane ride and a few stops til @thespeedproject w. @teamafterone !
