#3114 SET REVIEW: Sunflower Bouquet (11502)
.
Sunflowers are blooming a few months early! This set is gorgeous, bringing more diversity to the lineup of Botanical flowers to mix and match. Overall, we love this set, especially mixed in a bouquet with other yellow LEGO flowers… but technique-wise, are we the only ones starting to get Botanical fatigue?
.
🌻 Parts: 4/5 Versatile new parts, but less than we have come to expect from the Botanical theme.
.
🌻 Techniques: 3/5 Botanicals are clever designs, but we have seen most of it.
.
🌻 Accuracy: 4/5 The sunflowers are highly accurate, with only a few nitpicks!
.
🌻 Display: 4/5 This set is beautiful, but the largest flowers make it harder to arrange.
.
🌻 Value: 3/5 Botanicals are relatively great value, but these feel sparser than previous bouquets.

#3113 TECHNIQUE ANALYSIS: Mini Toa Tahu by @bento_draws
If you are an AFOL, you are almost certainly familiar with the Bionicle theme, which lasted from 2001 until ~2016 and completely changed the LEGO system we knew prior. @bento_draws has taken the Tahu minifigure helmet from CMF Series 29 to create an epic mini Tahu with LEGO bricks!
Check out the instructions and parts list in this post, and give @bento_draws a follow! 🔥
#3112 MOC OF THE WEEK: Sylvester the Cat set modification by @alphonsebricks
“THUFFERIN’ THUCCOTASH!”
Sean AKA @alphonsebricks created the perfect companion to LEGO’s official Tweety Bird, his roommate/nemesis Sylvester! To create this MOC, Sean took inspiration from two existing sets and completely modified them to become its own creation. We love to see this ingenuity! Give Sean a follow on Instagram, and check out the instructions to Sylvester on Sean’s Rebrickable if you want to build this yourself!
#3111 SET REVIEW: 42220 Monster Jam™ Sparkle Smash™
LEGO started releasing Monster Jam™ sets in 2021, so it’s about time we finally had a member of the Tips&Bricks team tackle a review. Naturally, a set based on a real monster truck based on a fictional unicorn seemed to be the correct choice. Let’s take a look at where this set excels… and where it could use some improvement.
🧱 Parts (4) – 17 new recolors is in a set this size is just mind boggling!
🥸 Accuracy (4) – This is very clearly a sparkly unicorn monster truck.
🔧 Techniques (2) – The mane and color transitions really carried this.
📷 Display (2) – Displays well as a unicorn but is boxy with exposed Technic.
💰 Value (1) – Coming in at over 14¢/12p per piece seems excessive!

#3109 TECHNIQUE ANALYSIS: Ferrix Riot Speeder by @Yatkuu
👥 Fans of Andor have friends everywhere! Today’s post highlights an incredible creation inspired by a speeder seen only in a quick portion of the beloved series’ first season. The riot speeder was used as a distraction for Luthen and Cassian, but the speeder design becomes the centerpiece of this fantastic build!
🏍️This sleek design uses some smart techniques to create angles from the hood to the windshield! Nice parts usage abounds with some clever choices, even mixing different colour tones and discoloured parts for a gritty feel.
💫If you like this build or are inspired by the brick-built character design, be sure to follow @Yatkuu for more!

#3105 SET REVIEW: 75399 Rebel U-Wing Starfighter
Happy Star Wars Day and May the 4th be with you! To celebrate this special day we review the iconic U-Wing from the Andor Show (and Rogue One, obviously). This set certainly had some mixed feelings from the community due to its downsized scale, and we had some considerations as well, but in the end, we love the final result, so follow us through this review to learn where this set falls short.
🧱 Parts (1) – Terrible selection that can easily be sourced elsewhere..
🥸 Minifigures (4) – Great selection with some rare and new parts.
🔧 Techniques (2) – Mediocre but effective techniques. 📷 Display (4) – Downsized but more accurate and better looking.
💰 Value (3) – Great set with good minifigures and ship, but the price is a little high.
