Finally home. I see my crates arrived from California. I was able to 'acquire' a few pieces from some 'friends' I ran into at The Getty Art Museum in L.A. Sold some, bought some... anyways let's get these into the vault. Oh, and send these scatter cushions I found at a vintage shop in West Hollywood to @legoianp care of @cardmakernr1 . I heard he was whining because the accommodations were beneath his standards. 🙄

Review - Pantasy Prague Astronomical Clock 85045
Starting with the front facade, it's a beautifully inspired replica of the actual clock in the City of Prague in the Czech Republic. The printed parts of the clock are wonderful, and the lights and motorized movement bring it to life. You can check out the reel from my page to see it in action. The set diverges from the actual building, but I really like the celestial dome. The interiors with an astronomy focus are a nice touch as are the Pantasy figures, the Professor and Student. I really liked the planet build and all first floor details.
The actual building has no side windows, and the designs here are underwhelming and feel out of place. The first floor flip up windows seem random as does the clock, although I love those printed roman numeral clock tiles! The main wall that opens up to access the 2nd and 3rd floor interiors and gear box could have been helped with a latching mechanism as it didn't fit tightly when closed. Accessing the first floor which has the most details requires removal of the two floors. The clutch power as shown in the last photo that connected the wiring between floors always got stuck, so it could be tricky to separate easily. I wish there was a side access to that first floor.
The gear mechanism to turn the clock dials on the front was seamless and worked perfectly and really makes this stand out.
If I was incorporating it into a Lego City I would probably modify the sides but otherwise it's great. Thanks to my friend at @pantasy.official official @pantasy.global for sending this over to build.

A Deal at Griffith Observatory:
High above the city, the group of adventurers waited for the arrival of their pursuers. Connie had set up a meeting and would act as the middle-man between both groups. All were anxious to see what would happen, unsure wether the CIA would honour their agreement; Juli for the film reel.
After a while, two vans pulled up on the road across from Griffith Observatory. Out came a team of operatives, led by Agent Housemore. Two agents held Juli, who was handcuffed.
"Juli!" Hector yelled out. Connie hushed him.
Agent Housemore approached and immediatly spoke up, in a firm and quick tone.
"Here's how it's gonna be, you give us that film reel and you all forget everything that happened here. No more meddling in business that doesn't concern you and no further discussing of this event. Break this agreement and we will detain all of you as foreign spies. No matter where on Earth you are, be that in your Oxford college, Austrian castle or your parent's Belize home. Understood?"
Ford and Ophelia looked alarmed. Jasper merely huffed.
"Sure, whatever. I don't care about your secrets anyway, I just came here for gold."
Ford turned to Agent Housemore.
"Yes, understood. Just give us our friend back."
Everyone looked on as Ford handed over the film reel and the agents uncuffed Juli, who slowly walked over to Hector. The two embraced each other. As soon as she had the film reel in her hands, Agent Housemore gave the group one final look. Ophelia was unsure wether it was a threatening look or one of admiration. Then, the agents rushed back to their vans and drove away.

Jasper's taking a break at the Getty today for a totally legitimate meeting about a few recent “acquisitions.” He spun some story to Ford and Ophelia he was buying some new pieces for his collection. But no big deal—just some rare, possibly untraceable pieces that definitely fell into his possession through completely above-board, morally flexible circumstances. 😁
The plan: stroll in like a donor, drop a few mysterious hints about “private collections,” and see if anyone asks too many questions (they won’t, it’s LA). If all goes well, he leaves lighter in luggage and heavier in cash.
Now back to finding the kids.
