Me made May day 16. I figured this is probably the last day until fall I can wear this #nikkotop. I originally made it with the collar and just wasn’t wearing it. It’s so cute without it and I think I’ll wear it a lot more now. Of course I waited until spring to fix it 🙃 I am head to toe in @blackbirdfabrics . This bamboo rib knit from is so soft, I love it. #memademay day 10. Just finished this ultimate breezy top yesterday. Pattern is the #ClosetCoreMarble from @closetcorepatterns . Great for small yardage or scrap busting. I made this in some leftover squiggly rayon I originally bought at @stitchologyabq and a peachy sheer fabric from my beautiful friend @rachelyoganm . Excited for the #okaymemademay secondhand fabric prompt for me made may day 3! I love thrifting fabric, a majority of my stash is gifted or thrifted. It’s more affordable and less stressful for cutting in to (even though you’ve only got what you’ve got - not usually able to just buy more if needed). This top isn’t finished yet, but I got really excited about the idea of stripes on stripes so I decided to wear it anyways :) Top is the softest and drapiest knit from one of my favorite places ever, @remainders_creative_reuse . Red stripe fabric is from @savers_thrift , they often have fabric yardage near the linens and sheets. Day✌️! My newest make! The Deer and Doe Genêt. These were so fun to make. I got to learn how to do a welt pocket, make the most magically deep front pockets, and try out a new method for a zip fly. These were intended as a wearable muslin, but I love how they turned out. Ever since I saw the pair @hellyeah.handmade made, I’ve had them saved in the back of my mind. Trying to branch out to different patternmakers and different styles. Yay! Ps. I ironed both these, but linen is gonna linen.
