Meet the Thérèse Track Pants — our May Crew pattern and the pants you didn't know you needed.
We wanted to respond to the track pant trend we're seeing everywhere, but with something a bit more timeless and versatile for our grown-up lives. Sporty, but make it elevated. While you could make these in a stable knit (think Ponte), Thérèse really shines in drapey wovens like tencel and cupro. An absolutely stellar Cornelius shirt from @downtown.sewing , who had this to say about it:
"Sometimes you find the perfect project for that nice fabric you've been stashing for 5 years. When closetcorepatterns sent me the new Cornelius Quiring Western Shirt pattern, I knew it was time for this wool to come out.
I've never sewn classic barrel cuffs with tower plackets, so this project was a perfect challenge to up my shirt making game. It didn't turn out perfect, a few seams were re-done, the instructions read many many times. In the end, I'm happy with the results for a first try!
I did a mix of view A and view B. Piped welt pockets and rounded front yokes, with classic collar and plackets. Some trial and error was required to make this work.
