It’s the 1st February which in Ireland is St Brigid’s day, marking the beginning of spring, which is the season this jacket is made for.
My first make of 2025 and with my upgraded machine was this jacket that has been in the works since August 2024. I cut all the squares out months ago and then I was too afraid to continue because I wasn’t confident my machine would handle it (I was right given it broke making Christmas Stockings)
This is by far my favourite make ever and I can’t wait to wear it as much as possible
Fabric 🪡:

It’s also 1 year since I started my sewing instagram account and I’ve loved scrolling everyone’s makes, getting inspiration and showing what I’ve made. It’s been a lovely little community right in my pocket! While my sewing has slowed down since going back to work and trying to be more conscious on what I buy I am looking forward to another year of saying “nah I won’t buy that, I can probably make it for more money and all my free time”
