My family and I are away at a cottage for the long weekend, and our drive there took us right by Catherine's lovely bookstore @fireflyandfoxbooks - so of course we had to stop by! Here we are modeling our me-mades: an #ogdencami on Catherine and a @closetcorepatterns Marine top on me. Does it get any better than good pals, good books, and me-made clothes??
(Also, I just finished altering these jeans, but I will have more to say about them another day!).
Finally, some gorgeous spring weather on #memademay2026 Day 15 (halfway already!).
When I made this @closetcorepatterns Sandstone jacket last year, I wasn't sure how well it would fit into my wardrobe - but I have reached for it constantly this spring. It's the perfect outer layer for dog walks or taking the kids to school. 👌
The dress is from @varietyhour_ , and while it is not me-made, I fell so hard for this grocery-inspired print that I bought a larger size because they were sold out of mine. I altered it to fit by adjusting the side seams, and by removing the sleeves and reattaching them after narrowing the shoulder. Badda bing, badda boom!

#memademay2026 Day 9: the Toronto Frocktails edition!
My bestie @kweresch and I had an absolute BLAST meeting so many amazing sewists and dancing the night away at @frocktails.to ! The makes were incredible, the conversations were a delight, and the vibes were immaculate. 👌
Onto the dress: this is the @closetcorepatterns Celia dress, which is a pattern inspired by work of iconic 70s designer Ossie Clark. (I went down a real rabbit hole learning about him - his designs are truly stunning). The dress is everything I love about Closet Core patterns: thoughtful design, beautiful details, and an amazing fit right out of the envelope.
My fabric choice complicated the process, as I had to individually cut the pieces to take advantage of the border print - and it was also super slippery and fussy to handle. But the end result was worth all the swearing, lol!

Me Made May Day 8!
My son and I took my Mom to a concert this evening as an early Mother's Day treat! I wore a Clo Bias skirt made from some dreamy sandwashed cupro, paired with an RTW sweater I bedazzled with some grosgrain ribbon bows. (Everything is better bedazzled with *something*, am I right??)
Greetings from the organized chaos of my closet! (AKA my favourite room of the house, haha!).
For #memademay2026 Day 7, I'm in my @closetcorepatterns Emmeline blouse, which is pretty much my platonic ideal of a spring shirt. This outfit was a real compliment magnet when I was out and about today, which always feels amazing (and gave me the opportunity to use our favourite phrase: "thanks, I made it!!").
