This business is small. It's a passion project. The way I see it this business solves two problems:
1) Fast Fashion is killing the earth. Jeans are particularly terrible for the extreme use of water and chemicals required to produce them. By working with Vintage and Thrifted jeans we can keep them out of the landfill...and let's face it, vintage is just better quality
2) Jeans never fit right. They cause a ton of anxiety for most of us. This is a way for me to include every type of body no matter the size and make them fit like a glove.

So many women are tortured by the waist gap. Mass produced clothing is not made with high ratios in mind. So most just buy extreme stretch and hope for the best. Find a really good denim tailor that can get in there and move outseams and back seams (and maybe still add some darts), and you'll never look back.

This job is not easy! We're working with jeans that have lived many lives already and there are always limits to what we can do. But we always try to get as close to the vision as possible. Now her beloved sequels have a new life!

See you there!!!
Monday musings. Nobody needs to see themselves this much. Spending time around people who see the best in you is the only antidote I think. Agree? Disagree?
The seams on your tailored denim are going to look "freshly done". You'll inevitably lose some of that patina that comes with a vintage jean. They'll fit amazing, but getting that fading back will take some time and wear. Well worth it!!!!
This is what slow fashion is about. When you repair your stuff you meet people in your community. You trust them. You worry about what you'll do when they retire. They spend their lives getting really good at that one skill. These are the businesses that should get our money.
There's always a cost, it just depends on whose paying it. I don't say this to make anyone feel guilty. We have enough of that, and as consumers we already feel pretty helpless. But awareness is never a bad thing right?
550: Baggy with a VERY slight taper (amazing for baggy looks)
560: a TON of curve and room through the waist and hips, very high rise. Tapered. Can be turned into straight leg or add a split at the outseam!
505: Typically not very great for curves, BUT you can upsize and tailor down through the waist and hips.
