Movement with Yvonne
Following the stages before moments of showtime, of precise curation. Emphasis on behind the scenes- settling in, warming up, finding focus.

time travel on set-
To stand in criticism of this imagery of white people (on set) of the 1950s and 60s, and the fascist drive to make those times return with (small ex.) trad wife content etc, I wanted to add a song by activist, singer & songwriter Fasia Jansen but, surprise surprise, none are available. Which is the sad reflection of how little Black, left female presenting singers (and activists) living in Germany in the 1950s and 60s are shared, talked about etc. when it comes to white leftists, sure, but then they’re either white feminists entirely excluding realities of the global majority and/ or are white, male dominated, rightfully criticising the burgoise class, but not actually including/ advocating for Black and people of colour. So if you don’t know her already, go listen to Fasia Jansen the, in 1929 in Hamburg born, social rights activist singer and songwriter.
You can find information about her, a film & concerts on fasia-film.de

‘in comfort’
An ongoing series which explores the comforts one pursues in places that once were of strangeness to them. How and where do we lean, when we need to withdraw, be in deep thought, unbothered?
Movements and habits form such places. Aya and I looked for those positions and corners, objects and cracks that lend comfort.
