I made this costum wig and beard for a black opera singer that is playing in the Russian Opera Chowanschina, set in Russia in the 1840..and i cant help but to see one of my all time favorite musicians shining through my inspiration, the legendary Gil Scott Heron. I can wait for the upcoming fitting to see how it all comes together so stay tuned for updates😇

I haven't straightened my hair in 7 years for many reason including lazyness, but i needed a little bonita a my life and really just wanted check up on the cut and color flow,
...Anyway Tips and Tricks!
Prep:
Deep conditioned with a mask and let that sit for 20 minutes under a cap (i used @redken ). wash it out. braid the hair with no product as large as possible. I Let that dry for hours or days depending on the weather circumstance here in Germany 😅 less friction, less blowdryer heat. stretching the curls softly.
Blowout:
Take small sections of the opened braids and give them a good spritz of heat protection, lightly dampening. Carefully comb each section with a paddle brush and proceed to aquire tention on the paddle brush while blowdrying downward. (I used a @babyliss blowdryer)
Press:
Apply little to no resistance on pushing the iron down. Instead, focus on the pressure between the plates and slide slowly. It took me 70 min to silk press the whole head. Slow wins the race longterm it seems with the @ghdhair iron i use, their antifrizz reputation is legit
Styling:
A hot comb is helpful for getting edges and top volume in shape.
Also this weightless oil is my jam, and i used a little to much to be able to style the hair without using additional products or reiron for the next 3 days at least, my hair will eat that up under the bonnet...
