Every year, the Thinkspace Architecture Planning Interior Design Ltd. team participates in the Vancouver Sun Run. This year, we had than 32 people on course! Fortunately, the sun was shining on the team, and everyone had an amazing time - even if they were a little sore on Monday morning! Happy April from Thinkspace! 📆 The Cascade Cafe dining hall expansion at the Abbotsford campus of the University of the Fraser Valley expanded capacity from 121 seats to 350 spaces. It services day students as well as the new Lá:léms Ye EverGreen student housing project. This project brought mass timber elements together with traditional First Nation designs and themes to create an amazing space where students can work, relax and feed themselves. #architecture #design #masstimber #ufv #thinkspace

February 25 is @pinkshirtday in Canada. It's an opportunity to reflect on and raise awareness about bullying. The Thinkspace team - located in our studios in Victoria, Kelowna, and Surrey - celebrated Pink Shirt day with the appropriate attire! The fact that it happened to fall on the same day as our monthly office social was a happy coincidence, but we did take advantage of that. The Mission Senior Secondary School project officially broke ground on February 17. In partnership with @ventanaconstructioncorp , the 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗿-𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘆 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 is designed to accommodate 𝗳𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝟭,𝟱𝟬𝟬 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀. A double-height social commons anchors the 13,685 sq.m. school, while collaborative breakout areas, Indigenous influence, and outdoor classrooms are woven throughout. Thinkspace is proud to announce construction has begun on the new Village Church National Ministry Centre in Surrey, BC. The future 100,000 sq.ft. space has been designed to bring people together. A light-filled atrium will connect every floor to evoke a sense of openness and belonging. At the groundbreaking ceremony, a briefcase holding a seven-generations-old Bible and written prayers was placed under the future foundation. Last night, we celebrated the grand opening of the Thinkspace Victoria studio. We’ve been working on the Island for a few decades now, but we wanted to better service our clients on the Island and the best way to do that was with a permanent presence and full-time team in downtown Victoria. We’re excited to share that construction has wrapped up and occupancy has been received for School District No. 62's 𝗦Ć𝗜Ⱥ𝗡𝗘𝗪̱ 𝗦Ṯ𝗘Ƚ𝗜ṮḴ𝗘Ƚ 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 in South Langford, BC. The new four-storey, 4,178 sq m school will welcome students this September for the 2025-26 school year. Designed for 400 Grade 1–5 students, 80 kindergarten students, and including a new daycare, this is the 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗿-𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘆 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗺𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗶𝗻 𝗪𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗱𝗮.
