Today, we honour the Survivors of residential schools, their families, and communities, and remember the children who never returned home.
At Aercoustics, we recognize the importance of listening, learning, and reflecting on the truths of Canada’s past and the continued impacts of residential schools. Reconciliation is an ongoing journey; one that requires action, empathy, and a commitment to meaningful change.
We encourage everyone to take time today to learn more, engage in conversations, and support Indigenous voices and organizations. Together, we can help build a more just and respectful future.

What a day! We were proud to join Breast Ball to support women’s health; an incredible event that we were honoured to both play in and volunteer for this year.
Later in the day, our team rallied together at our corporate social at the Jays game, cheering on the home team and celebrating a great day out.
Building impact in our community and memories with our team.

Steve Titus and Anthony Roppa recently attended the DCAC Conference in Austin, Texas, where they had the opportunity to connect with peers and gain valuable insights in the data center industry.
We’re looking forward to building on these new connections and continuing to drive impactful solutions for our clients.

We had the opportunity last Friday to spend the evening together at Medieval Times! Between the jousting, the feast, and the energy in the arena, it was the perfect setting to enjoy each other’s company.
Building strong connections outside of our day-to-day work helps us bring that same collaboration and spirit back to everything we do!

☀️ That’s a wrap on summer 2025!
From fishing on Bigwin Island and hikes with our dogs, to first-time kayaking and tubing adventures with our kids, our team made the most of the sunshine.
We unplugged in off-grid cabins in Marmora, soaked up Montreal’s patio season, hiked in Europe, and returned with full hearts, clearer minds, and maybe a few extra bug bites.
We hope everyone has a wonderful long weekend! Here’s to a refreshed return and an exciting fall ahead!

We’re wrapping up our student spotlight series with Noosheen Vazinkhoo, a Computer Engineering student from the University of British Columbia who just completed her third year.
Growing up with a love for physics and math—and two engineers for parents—Noosheen was naturally drawn to engineering. That early passion has translated into excitement about tackling complex projects and building creative solutions during her time at Aercoustics.
We’re lucky to have her on the team!

Up next in our student spotlights is Harry Shalit! Harry is studying Mechanical & Materials Engineering at Queen's University and has always had a passion for math and science. Inspired by his mother—who holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in chemical engineering—Harry was drawn to the world of engineering from a young age.
This summer, Harry has especially enjoyed working with mapping programs like QGIS and CadnaA, combining his interest in geography with engineering applications in acoustics. We're excited to have him on the team as he continues exploring how these tools can support impactful acoustic design!

We’re excited to continue our student spotlight series with Meghan Graham! Meghan is studying Engineering Physics and Biomedical Engineering at McMaster University.
Her path into engineering started in high school, where she combined her love of science and math with hands-on experience on her school’s robotics team. Collaborating with engineers on real-world challenges sparked her interest and helped guide her toward this career.
During her time at Aercoustics so far, Meghan has enjoyed the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects and explore new environments through site visits across the city!

Meet the Next Generation of Engineers!
This summer, we’re shining a light on the talented student engineers who’ve joined us at Aercoustics. Stay tuned as we introduce the bright minds helping shape the future of acoustics & engineering—starting with Nicolas Paré!
Nicolas is studying Engineering Physics at Queen’s University. His curiosity about how the world works, sparked by a love for high school physics, naturally led him to engineering.
During his time here, Nicolas has enjoyed heading out on a variety of site visits, from testing room acoustics in buildings across Toronto to measuring rooftop equipment noise in Kingston.
We’ve been thrilled to have him on the team and can’t wait to see what he gets up to next!

Last week, we hit pause on the usual and dove into Rogue Day; our quarterly 24-hour innovation sprint where Aercoustics' team members work on any technical project that inspires them (not necessarily acoustic-specific!).
One of the projects explored how to improve audio-visual experiences using VR. The Room Acoustic Innovation Team used third-order ambisonics to create immersive sound simulations through VR headsets. During Rogue Day, they ran demos and surveyed the team to find out which VR features people found most engaging—and which ones should be developed further into our tools.
It was a day full of creativity, exploration, and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in sound and tech.

Nothing brings a team together like sunshine, good food, and great company!
On Friday, we gathered for our annual Aercoustics summer picnic. It was a fantastic afternoon full of laughter, a scavenger hunt, delicious food, and time to connect outside the office. We loved seeing everyone’s families, and a few four-legged friends, join in the fun.
Thanks to everyone who helped make the day such a wonderful reminder of what makes our team so special!

To close out our International Women in Engineering Day series, we’re excited to spotlight Doreen, an Associate in our transit sector!
Doreen's journey into engineering was sparked by a desire to blend her love of music with her passion for math and science, eventually finding her path in acoustics after discovering Aercoustics’ website in high school. What keeps her inspired? The variety of work, the people, and the company’s ongoing drive to do better, both in our projects and our culture.
Her advice to young women entering the field: every part of your experience matters; even the ones that don’t seem directly tied to engineering. Those “unrelated” moments often build the soft skills that help you stand out, lead with impact, and build your own voice in the industry.
