It was such a special experience being a part of @thestring.bean âs crew through 250 miles of desert from Black Canyon to Flagstaff. Watching every racer dig deep through sleep deprivation, pain, heat, and endless miles was incredibly inspiring. Turns out a lot can go right, and a lot can go wrong, over 250 miles, but problem solving is part of the fun of the sport.
And getting to witness history being made - @rachel__entrekin , thank you for showing all of us women whatâs possible.

Watching hundreds of people start a race where they know they will be moving for days on end is inspiring to say the least. I have never witnessed one of these events of this caliber that strip you down to your true character leaving no choice but to show who you are. Even just seeing it moves you. It makes you feel a way that not many other things can. It forces you to think about what you are truly capable of. That's special.
There was so many stories that made this years Cocodona so insane. Whether it was the finishers who crushed records, or the people who unfortunately didn't finish but still showed that they are unbreakable spirits with unwavering determination to complete their goal, no matter what it took.
The people who participated in this race are nothing short of amazing. I want to be one of those people.đ„

cocodona 2026, day two-three. joe caught a quick nap in sedona while the crew killed time at the skatepark and kept an eye on the storm building in the distance. from sedona through through schnebly hill and munds park it was a cold, wet and muddy night. sunrise at fort tuthill, and our final crew rendezvous at wildcat hill.

Cocodona 2026 , what a time to be alive! From working at Mingus ,to watching Rachel Entrekin to Andy Glaze and everyone in between come through Heritage Square, it was an amazing experience. Ultra Runners are the toughest people on the planet while being some of the most humble and giving folks youâll ever encounter. The community is unmatched .
