This guy NEEEEDS to produce more videos (running out of funny pictures of Will). Will is doing well, still been a little up and down with stomach problems, but getting stronger as time goes on. He’s hopefully he can finish the weekend in a state of normalcy. Day 19 of the AT record attempt. Will did 51 miles on Day 18, ending at mile 848. He is 24 miles behind his plan for the self-supported record. Please consider donating to FoodBlessed (link in bio) to help provide meals and other essentials for people displaced in Lebanon. Thank you to my sponsors @hyperlite_mountain_gear @theinfinitloop and @burgeonoutdoor for making this run possible!

Day 17. Will is moving again, like a phoenix rising from a really bad stomach ache. It sounds like what Will experienced has been a common bug on trail the last few weeks, maybe it’s the cost of doing business this year. In any case, it’s injected a little drama into our hero’s journey. As of the end of last night, Will was at mile 762, about 14 miles behind his plan for the self supported record. The trail gives and the trail takes away. Day 16 started with Will having some major stomach problems and nausea that prevented him from moving significantly. He heard from a nurse who passed by that a non norovirus bug is going around that has a roughly 12 hour life span. Will is moving now, and hoping that’s the case. Please keep him and his recovery in your thoughts today as he pushes through this test. No meaningful mileage update, but we’ll post as he gets a feel for how he’s doing again. Day 15 of trying to set the speed record on the Appalachian Trail. Yesterday Will did 54 miles, ending the day at mile 709, which is 19 miles ahead of his plan for the self-supported record. Yesterday, Will had a strong day gaining back a few miles against the self supported splits. He’s giving himself over to the trail and to Bill, who has promised it is just about time to turn up the gas. Aye aye cap’n. Also, Will does not like that the ridgelines in VA are just sideways slabby rock—why is it not paved up there? Weird video today, cell service on the trail does not provide, apparently. Will bounced back from a low and is feeling good. The scale of this task is remarkable, but he’s about a third of the way in, and two weeks away from the sweet sweet Motherland (New England). Ride on horse man. Day 14 of trying to set the speed record on the Appalachian Trail. Yesterday Will did 50 miles with a LARGE amount of climbing. He’s 654 miles in and 16 miles ahead of his plan for the self-supported record. Day 12 of trying to set the speed record on the Appalachian Trail. Yesterday Will did 52 miles with 9,000 feet of climbing. He’s 551 miles in and 17 miles ahead of his plan for the self-supported record. Will is rolling! Last couple days it’s seemed like he’s having genuine fun out there on the trail, dispute his poor ears. Your support so far for Foodblessed has already meant so much to him, he’s mentioned it on multiple calls with family and friends. Please, if you feel called, consider donating to @foodblessed (link in bio) to help provide meals and other essentials for people displaced in Lebanon. Day 9 of trying to set the speed record on the Appalachian Trail. Yesterday Will did 52 miles with an untold amount of climbing. He’s 398 miles in and 19 miles ahead of his plan for the self-supported record. Will’s battery pack prematurely died, so he’s been rationing charge for the last 36 hours, saving precious life to commune with Billy the goat Tidd. Alas, no video update today. Nonetheless, Will has put together a few great days in a row after rolling with the punches for the first week.
