Six times running Cocodona, and Andy Glaze still loves this race.
Why? Because it strips you bare, makes you dig deep, and shows you parts of yourself you didn’t know existed.
Chasing athletes through 250 miles of Arizona wilderness in real-time is no small thing. The course doesn’t care about your equipment. The desert doesn’t either. Having gear you can count on makes all the difference.

This is how you cover a 250 mile race.

Every year at Cocodona, something happens out there that you can’t explain until you’ve done it yourself.
Mike McKnight has been back every year since the start. His confession might be the best one yet.
Cocodona Confessionals all week.
No sleep. Mile who-knows-what. And Missy Hendricks was out here seeing dogs that don’t exist.
“I probably would have chased down that dog to go pet it if it was real.”
250 miles will do that to you. Cocodona Confessionals all week.
Five days. Five nights. One relentless journey across the Arizona desert.
These runners of Cocodona 250 crossed the finish line carrying dust, exhaustion, grit, and something even stronger — proof that the human spirit can keep moving long after the body wants to quit. 🌵✨
Finishers who come through the line on night 5 are fighters. Every blister, breakdown, sunrise, and impossible mile conquered along the way, and proof that anyone can go the distance.

We're less than three hours from cutoff, but we're reminiscing over the last 6 days of gorgeous views and incredible people⛰️🌵🏜️

Our youngest Sedona Canyons 125 Finisher EVER 🤯
Flagstaff Arizona’s own, 15 year old Eli Straub, becomes the youngest to ever finish the Sedona Canyons 125.
Straub made the journey from Jerome, crossing the finish line in Heritage Square in downtown Flagstaff in a time of 57:46:55
Episode 12 of Cocodona Chronicles is now live on the Mountain Outpost YouTube channel!
The finish line in Flagstaff is close enough to taste, but first, the field must pass through Wildcat Aid, the final crewable aid station of the Cocodona 250. This is the last moment of comfort, the final “hard reset,” and the last chance for runners to see their crews before setting off solo to face the legendary ascent of Mount Elden.
This episode captures the raw, unfiltered reality of day four. From runners battling “the Cocodona cough” and low oxygen levels to those dealing with emotional meltdowns and ankles “the size of pineapples,” the sheer willpower on display is inspiring.
