hello everyone,
it’s bandcamp friday and i have some new music for the occasion
it’s a distillation of some live performances and studio experiments over the past few months - 140bpm ghost rollers punctuated by some shorter audio workouts
i think it’s neat, you can’t hear it on this post though because it’s not on streaming services or whatever
you can find the link in the usual place
Next show: Fresh Thursday @cobaltstudios.ouseburn
an evening of applied electroacoustics with @djcdelahaye
I’m looking forward to playing some more expansive material on Cobalt’s excellent sound system, and you get dinner too.

big thanks to @gwillyedmondez for excellently capturing my first live outing in a very long time for Doxology last month. it’s out there on the doxology YouTube channel for all to see, on the linktree etc etc.
This Tuesday coming I’ll be doing my first live set since 2019.
A snapshot on the journey back into making music again after a long break, which has been evolving for a little while now.
Rhythmic, arrhythmic and non-rhythmic music built from sample manipulation and FM synthesis, scaffolded by recordings taken from Naples, Kyoto and Newborough.
Big thanks to @gwillyedmondez for having me, shout-out to the @starandshadow and an honour to be supporting @bridget__ferrill and her fantastic new record Domschatzkammer.
I’ve spent the last few months learning how to make music again after a long time away and this is the first thing to come out of it that i’m really happy with. It’s one track and several iterations on that track’s DNA.
inspired by trips across the north east birdwatching and field recording, and the concept of The Ping.
thanks to @mumdance for playing this on The Ping Report
up on bandcamp, link in the usual place
a special one up on the @slacksradio archives, a 2-hour deep dive into Korean traditional music, something I’ve gotten quite passionate about.
