Back in March we mentioned we were rebuilding our control room....and then we totally failed to do a reveal! What can we say - we're not the savviest social media uhhh... doers. 😑
Anyway, we're not bad with real life stuff like making our control room sound SO👌👌 😭 🤤 🥳 while adding more natural light and feeling much more spacious and vibey.
If you’ve been here before, you’ll notice we flipped the room 90 degrees. Fun fact: that was the original plan, but structural quirks made us hit pause on it back then.
The quirks have since been quarked (wt?) So we knocked out a wall, put in some windows, built giant bass traps, and cranked out as many broadband absorbers as possible. Oh, and added a mega cloud over mix position—6 inches thick, floating 6 inches below the ceiling. ☁️
It's been a treat to work in this space over the last OMG, 8 months 😶🌫️ A real step up! Unlike our social media game, which honestly, will probably remain as mediocre as ever.

NEW SINGLE: ‘Lucky Stars’ is out now! ⭐️
I wrote this song about fear, uncertainty and feeling lost in my own body when going through a bunch of health issues.
Dealing with doctors who don’t give a f*ck, delivering life-changing info, whilst pushing you out the door. Leaving their offices with prescriptions, pamphlets, more warnings than answers and one hell of song brewing!
I hope you all enjoy & count your lucky stars ⭐️💛
Out now everywhere you stream music.

LA artist Béret dropped Divine Joy last month - a beautiful 7 track art-rock statement.
Thank you Ian for your enthusiasm and trust to help bring this one into the world!
Grip the vinyl from their Bandcamp page and/or stream the whole thing exclusively on YouTube.

Shoutout to @new_orthodox for the introduction!
Excited to share the first release from a new artist, foon gee, out of Virginia.
For fans of Bon Iver, Searows, Phoebe Bridgers - this one’s a delicate, haunting slow burn.
"Mackerel Skies" available digitally everywhere.

New video for a rocker! Too Much Tom Petty feat duelling guitars, Spice Girls choreography, and as many Tom Petty references as one could reasonably squeeze into three minutes.

Ok I know y'all like chatting with Terry (my Wife - Borat voice) and getting her advice in between takes. Now you can listen to her talk about some of the cool stuff she's done in her long history in music, including putting on the last ever Canadian show for Fugazi. This podcast has interviews with tons of rad Vancouver musicians revisiting venues past and present. Link in bio - check it out!
In some good company with @devours.ufo , @louiseburnsmusic , @howardredekopp and many more.
Thanks @chippedhip and @exclaimdotca !
"Most plugins I use are conventional but not particularly exciting to use. Tupe, by Goodhertz, is different. It's a fun colour box: quick to set up, easy to understand, and always inspiring to use. It's part tape, part tube, but not trying to be a perfect model of either, which makes it more creative than technical. It can add subtle warmth, extra presence or a more obvious aggressive edge if I need that. It's my go-to plugin when an instrument feels dull or lifeless. Tupe instantly adds colour and dimension."
Goodbye 2025 - I don't know if this was a great year for anyone really, but for us it marked 15 years of being able to make music with you and for that we just feel so lucky.
Real life feels precarious right now so our goal / wish / intention for 2026 is just to have another year of doing real life things together: meeting cool people and making new friends, being creative together and creating memories - those are the pockets of inspiration and joy that make it possible to manage this increasingly tough timeline.
We wish you the best in 2026 from our little corner of the woods where we Thank You for Not Discussing the Outside World and for your support, friendship, creativity, memories and music.

This past summer I made this video about one of my favorite albums recorded by Jordan but I had forgotten to mention a couple related projects and the idea of doing it again seemed dorky and then the whole thing seemed dorky so I didn't post it. Cut to a few weeks ago when we hosted our pals Lyndsay Sung and Rich Trawick in the studio and I got a chance to tell Rich about this abandoned video about how much I loved Womankind. His reaction was so lovely and sweet and I realized I really want people to know about this very brief, very rad project. It's important to share cool music and tell people how much you appreciate them even if you feel like a dork!
All I forgot to mention was that Chris played in Destroyer and was part of Shabason, Krgovich & Harris and Scott was in Great Aunt Ida. In hindsight if I had listed every band these folks were in it'd have been a much longer vid!
If you're interested in this album let us know since it doesn't exist online. We're happy to be unauthorized dealers in underground, unavailable music.
RIYL: The Jesus Lizard, Myspace Lyrics, quiet people freaking out.
