This is a story about @kilnfloatingsauna and its founder @zoelake who was burnt out in her career, quit her job and was visiting a floating Sauna in Norway and with some help from some strangers she met in the Sauna came up with a plan to open a floating Sauna in Chicago. And she did it. I visited last week and right now itās docked right off the @navypierchicago . thanks to @danharris who was once her boss ABC for introducing us. @andrew_glatt . And the founding story is wonderful. They started out by organizing @fridaymorningswimclub a free coffee and swim in the lake that grew to thousands of people before the city shut it down. they loved the sense of community and decided to open a bathouse. I highly recommend a visit. I have two more great bathhouses to report on from my visit to Chicago last week. @cultureofbatheing

@camphotwells in San Antonio is magical. Natural hot springs pip hot sulfur water into antique bathtubs or Japanese soaking tubs over looking nature with the southern reach of the San Antonio River below you. Local can correct me but I think k you could walk there on the river walk from downtown in 1 1/2 hours and then you can soak your feet for free in the water in a fountain right outside. There are the 100 year old ruins of the @hotwellsconservancy right next door. Growing up in San Antonio I had no idea we once had one of the biggest most popular hot springs hotels in the country. And @camphotwells is run by the artist and creator @in_hot_water so ask for one of his stickers. #camphotwells #hotwells #hotsprings
