Our story reflects our belief that simple, shared experiences can drastically improve the way we live and feel.
Thanks to adventurers, curious friends, memorable strangers, and our own stubborn persistence, Lost Language was built out of our love for people:
people who love good stories and the art of pursuing them.

It’s true: The people in this video may never see it because they’re dedicated to abstaining from social media for the next 30 days. But their story is important because it’s a reminder for the rest of us.
A reminder that we get time back when we choose to disconnect from technology. And that the quality of our leisure time improves when we do so.
When you’re in a sauna, you’re free from your phone. You have a unique opportunity to get to know someone differently. Conversation has space to flow and time slows down a bit.
There’s not a whole lot else like it.
When Emmy asked if we’d host her students on day 3 of their detox, we said, “heck yeah.” Because that’s exactly what this space is for. It’s a place to share an experience that leaves us feeling a bit more connected when it ends.

Available weekends:
November 2026 - March 2027 (excluding holidays)
The home is located in Lakeside, MI, about a 1.5-2 hour drive from Chicago. It sleeps up to 12 guests. 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms. Lake views and lake breezes from two of the bedrooms, including the master. 6-person sauna overlooking the lake.
