A recent campaign shoot brought a full elevator install into the studio. Built by @hollywoodelevators , it rolled straight in through the drive-in garage door.
We built The Expo for productions like this—spacious, flexible and comfortable for crew and talent.
Dialed for lighting too: big skylights when you want them, full blackout when you don’t (like here).

A couple months ago I heard some very loud machinery outside the studio and went out to see what was going on.
My heart skipped a beat when I saw a fire truck—one of the big boys with the separate cab + trailer—fully extended over our lot to the roof of @toybox.rentals 😳
Turns out they were just practicing. This zone belongs to Fire Station 94, “C” Platoon and they drive around running drills on buildings that might be tricky in a real situation. Which is pretty tight. Shout out @losangelesfiredepartment
I gave them a quick tour of the studio which turned into an impromptu portrait session.
These guys are awesome. Thank you for looking out for our neighborhood 🚒
And on that note...fire safety is no joke and it’s a core value at both @the.expo.la and @photo_bohemia . We’re licensed flame retardant applicators and now provide treatment services for production, events, and interior design pros.
