Emerging Technologies on Stage in Times of Crisis - How and Why! A workshop about emerging technology in the performing arts to envision how artists and culture-makers can offer a meaningful alternative to the corporate narratives of ‘innovation’. Fronte Vacuo combines body art, dancetheater, audiovisual performance and technology. At the AR exhibition last year-end, I was overjoyed to welcome visitors from all walks of life, from children to the elderly, and from many different backgrounds. As part of the tanz:digital network, the Italian sound artist and choreographer has prepared a unique lecture performance for this event, offering exclusive insights into his methods and current projects. His work bridges dance and interactive sound synthesis to create genre-defying solo performances that explore themes of ritual, power, and technology. Following Marco’s lecture performance, there will be a Q&A session with the audience.
