FRONTE VACUO

MμRMUR by @frontevacuo (presented at @confluxfestival 2024) is a traveling performance combining street theatre, body art, interactive music, and live video streaming. As the seventh episode of the Humane Methods saga, it explores forced displacement in the face of ecological disruption. During their residency at iii, Fronte Vacuo (a transdisciplinary performance group founded by artists Marco Donnarumma, Margherita Pevere and Andrea Familari, joined by vocalist Andrew Munn) developed a durational endurance performance. Over two days, the Deer, the Officiant, and the Shadow traveled from The Hague to Rotterdam, engaging communities along the way. MμRMUR is produced by Fronte Vacuo GbR, co-produced by Volkstheater Wien, and commissioned by iii, with support from Conflux Festival and the Austrian Bundesministerium für Kunst, Kultur, öffentlicher Dienst und Sport. Expoziția reunește dansul, performance-ul, arta contemporană și practicile spațiale pentru a analiza ritmul ca forță materială și politică. Lucrările explorează mișcarea ca formă de negociere între control și eliberare, rezistență și colaps. ▶️ În cadrul expoziției va avea loc Artist Talk-ul cu Fronte Vacuo @frontevacuo (Margherita Pevere & Marco Donnarumma), joi, 9 aprilie, ora 16:00, la Modul Cărturești. Discuția va aprofunda tema ritmului ca forță politică și va analiza mișcarea ca formă de rezistență și coordonare colectivă. Evenimentul va aborda concepte precum tensiunea, rezistența și eliberarea, oferind un cadru de reflecție asupra modului în care ritmul se manifestă în corpuri, spații și structuri sociale. Intervențiile performative, coregrafice și spațiale vor deschide un dialog despre adaptare, prezență și dinamici comune. Participarea duo-ului artistic Fronte Vacuo va oferi o perspectivă asupra proceselor lor de creație, invitând publicul să se raporteze la ritm nu doar ca principiu estetic, ci ca experiență trăită și negociată în timp real. Expoziția este organizată de @sacbucharest – Spațiul de Artă Contemporană, în parteneriat cu @forumul_cultural_austriac , Goethe-Institut București, Instituto Cervantes de Bucarest, @institutulfrancez și @institutulpolonez , cu sprijinul @eunicromania .

The Deer and the Officiant were surrounded by a wildly good bunch of artists for the new performance 7̶O̶∆̶R̶ (ZOAR) by @metamapsworkshops 7̶O̶∆̶R̶ populated the @mihl_museo 's stunning architecture as site-specific performance The world of Humane Methods blended with flying sculptures, sounding objects, kinetic pulsars, live visuals and music. A new character was born to this world, to be revealed soon with the official documentation. The show premiered last Saturday at the Museo Interactivo da Historia in Lugo, Spain, after almost one year in the making across Hong Kong, Australia, Spain and Germany. Emerging Technologies on Stage in Times of Crisis - How and Why! A workshop about emerging technology in the performing arts to envision how artists and culture-makers can offer a meaningful alternative to the corporate narratives of ‘innovation’. Fronte Vacuo combines body art, dancetheater, audiovisual performance and technology. Its works are defined by unexpected methods of audience interaction, radical bodily performances and rigorous work on symbolism. tanz:digital is a central streaming and knowledge platform for the professional dance scene in Germany. Its aim is to give those interested access to current and historical dance productions, films, documentaries and background information. PMD-ART has stood for interactive, digital worlds of experience for over a decade. Software developer Andre Bernhardt, physicist and video choreographer Dr. Marcus Doering and dancer, choreographer and director Lars Scheibner form the constant core of the artist collective PMD-ART Productions. In their long-standing collaboration, the artists’ collective explores, among other things, the artistic application possibilities of KAISER RESONANT TECHNOLOGY - a system that uses infrared technology to recognize the position, shape and movement of an object in space, analyses it in real time and makes this data available for further artistic use. ℧R is a walk in the dark. A thin body walks while a dim light shines. A path covered in soil is between them. Gazeless, the figure walks and prays, walks and prays, walks and, entranced, pries into the darkness. Its red cloth sanctifies it. Its missing face alienates it. The Shadow sings and murmurs, marking the rhythm of each step in the long walks across cities of this world. His companions are the Deer and the Officiant. He braids hymns to the grass among pavement stones, engine vibrations, more-than-human vocal tracts, and electromagnetic waves while he sings in operatic bass voice and uses a custom biophysical instrument made by @body_sound_machine . The three Children of the Oracle are grown out of the Oracle’s body and mushroom hyphae. They escaped the cutting tip of the robot arm and were allowed to bloom. Are you too under the influence of the Oracle? Hir transformative powers are known to radiate well beyond the walls within the δISSOLUTION room, where ze resides. The Oracle is the faceless creature who lives in the δISSOLUTION room. No one knows whether ze was forced, hidden or forgotten here, or whether ze is sheltering. Hir body has grown out of the skin and onto the walls of the room. Hir sculptural ears sense your forgotten memories as ze counts the time and invites you to a ritual of dissolution. Will you offer your memory to the ritual? Offensive acts towards the Oracle shall not be tolerated, the ritual interrupted thereupon without warning. #MargheritaPevere is the Oracle.
