What would you do if the former god of the underworld stormed in and complained about your flowers? Dearly Departed was one of the books I really looked forward to coming out this year (still do!!), and I had the honor of reading it early. The main characters, Levi and Hayden, I felt were well written and I also think were a great example for yin and yang. I feel like their moments together were wonderful and those spicy scenes were definitely memorable for me; they really set the bar high for what I look for in a spicy romance. I loved all the supporting characters as well, I feel the found family aspect was so well incorporated and I felt like I was in their friend group with them! Are they taking friendship applications? Because I would like to apply. I truly loved this book. I think Chip Pons deserves all his flowers, sunflowers and lilies most of all. Also, I don't want to forget this stunning cover. I love the design and artwork, I feel like it stands out beautifully and feel like the colors are almost glowing. So beautiful! How could I not use this sound for @booksovrbros and his love of Taylor Swift?! I am so excited to be joining Chip and Putnam in participating in the cover reveal for Dearly Departed, a story of the once mighty Hades (now known as Hayden) turned funeral director and Levi, a florist with an artist’s heart. From reading the book description, artist @talgotetsky perfectly captures Hayden, Levi and their grumpy-sunshine paranormal relationship. I think that Taylor’s song Wood might also perfectly capture the heat that Hayden and Levi feel for each other too (cause we know that Chip will be bringing those spicy scenes)!
