recent pieces from this art experiment i’m working on called Tendrils ~ updating daily on my website (except for the one day i had food poisoning blerg lol) a month in the works now. feels like a long term project in its infancy. sometimes a bit messy and rushed, other times slow, a space to be my own sort of wild. letting things change in their own time while i’m considering all pieces a work in progress

i was listening to susumu yokota’s symbol while staring out the window at my nana’s house looking at this tall shrub of leaves. when i first heard the breath in ~flaming love and destiny~ it felt so charged that it made me imagine the leaves coming to life as dancers, all having their lil solo moments, weaving in and out of each other, coming back together as a group in the end… something kinda like this
the feeling of eating sua fa’i, samoan banana pudding, for the first time. homemade by my uncle with bananas from the neighbors yard. felt like time slowed down as the warmth from the sua fa’i shot up to my brain and trickled down my spine into my feet. wanna make for all the homies when it’s rainy outside or we’re camping together ♡♡♡
recent experiences, and art!, that have shaped my thinking and how my heart has been feeling. feeling so lucky, so blessed, and at times so much pain too. all the things. through it all, forever grateful for all the homies to ride out all the waves together as we keep on growing and changing and building together. lots and lots and lots of love <333
