I turned 40 recently and I'm the happiest I've ever been in my life. This is my greatest accomplishment since I don't really understand what exactly my life is.

struggling with depression but actually, it's because im very exposed to reality. and for that bless this depression. may the wisdom of my body guide me to the other side. may the mind be surprised by my embodied ingenuity. i will keep on.
i am LOVING the new ethel cain album, and the new bad bunny album which i know is basic but like it is getting me in my body while i work in the kitchen.
Thanks for all the birthday wishes! This weekend was magical and getting to do a pre-birth performance on Saturday with @women_innovating_sound at @wavefield.nyc was so needed. Thank you @jenn8grossman for including me on such a jaw dropping lineup. Interesting how DIY spaces are better than everywhere else lately...
Moving forward I'm gonna focus on writing some music, and honestly figuring out MONEY. money please. :)
Um also: how lucky that @chromadetic said "sure i'll whip up some viz during your set" and it was gorgeous and held my set together.

I've spent most of this year being spread thin and navigating a lot of huge changes out of my control. i'm just doing what i can to pay attention to and honor what's true inside me and to push back against what is hegemonic and stale. and i cry most days of the week. life is surfing and you can definitely die and that's ok.
if we don't allow culture to make us forget that we are a genocidal death cult then we might actually witness massive change in our lifetime. peace
