Mastering Studio Exposé for @cpsmastering
Web Promo Spot - Concept, direction, shoot, edit.
Brock from @cpsmastering recently finished building a dreamy mastering studio on the Sunshine Coast, here in BC where he and @catpictures both work. The 60s minimalist, tainted with a tinge of brutalist aesthetic was something worth embracing. Soldering in the new artwork/logo design elements by @wilson.wk was also incredibly fun. Somehow there was still enough creative space to lay enough wizard-related Easter eggs to kill a bunny. Being allowed to go extra anamorphic for a content landscape that is more vertical than ever, was an absolute bonus. Without the perfect music (“Moves in the Dark”) creatively conjured by @neil_jam3s & @ashperson - this would have simply been a lifeless parody of aspect ratio.
Shout out @siruiimaging for the 35mm/75mm/150mm lenses on this one!
AD spot for @subsocials - Existential dread for music producers was the concept, and eye candy was the aesthetic.
Composited drone footage and speed ramping was a fun creative combination.
We also trained our own custom AI voice for the voice over, because nothing says existential dread like AI taking creative jobs away from lots of cool flesh people.
“Promises” visuals for @adriennejnye / @yaletownrecords
Promo Spots + long format edit: Concept, direction, shoot, edit.
Adrienne had a golden idea for a simple high contrast shadow + light look featuring repetitive body movements that played with different speeds & loops. We had a lot of fun capturing it all practically with studio lights, lens streak filters & as much gold + glitz as possible!

Studio Promos for @fiendrecordings
3 Promo Spots : Concept, direction, shoot, edit.
This shoot was mostly improvised, but it came together nicely. Indoor drone shots are not easy.
“My Never Again” promos for @adriennejnye / @yaletownrecords
3 Promo Spots : Concept, direction, shoot, edit.
Adrienne wanted something vintage/80s cyberpunk, so a night shoot outside with ALL the coloured lights was necessary. We ended up waiting 2 hours for an unexpected bit of rain at 1am.
