Typehunting in Warsaw — I came to see another sign in this area that read “Perfumeria,” (🙏 @stahszek for this tip) but unfortunately it’s already gone, replaced by a modern inscription. I’m documenting and sharing this because this kind of lettering heritage is disappearing quickly. Here’s an example of an interesting sign featuring several variations of a typeface within a single layout. Notable are the distinctive 4, as well as the S, Y, and A - geometric and mechanical, yet still soft in character. The “4” alone could serve as a starting point for developing an entirely new system of signs — perhaps even a typeface.

BURNING SILENCE symposium on fire ecologies and sound 11-12 April 2026 | @spore.initiative How to listen to a world on fire? Burning Silence explores the threshold between fire and silence – tracing how environmental destruction and resistance register across material, affective, and media ecologies. Burning manifests as wildfires intensified by extraction, as the combustion of petrocapitalist economies, as the noise and smoke of war and colonialism – but also as burns that regenerate soil and lifeworlds, as the visceral heat of anger, grief, and demands for justice. Against and within this burning, silence appears as both violence and refusal: the erasure of voices affected by destruction, but also tactical withdrawal that claims political agency. Silence also becomes the threshold for attuning to more-than-human frequencies – the lower registers that linger in soil, water, and air, pushed beneath perceptibility by dominant modes of listening. The symposium is a space for cultivating conditions for slow listening, transversal thinking, and situated engagement. New merch for @stypendium.horyzonty stipend program — a tote bag with a print inside, just envisioned it — we hope it’s possible, didn’t ask the printers yet 😄 @panato_bag ? The drawing and a timelapse created by @recumas — it has been done so well that it stayed with us for the second edition of the program and serves as a key visual for the Horyzonty’s collateral and website. The stipend is funded by @fundacja.efc and @starakfoundation Great team from our studio involved in the project is @erawodniczki @loveigaa @szymher I hope this tote becomes real soon.

To what extent ar letters physical? I started to think when I saw this sculpture, this one is physical but how about the ones we read and write? I like when letters become more physical. I am standing by the building of the Society for the Vocational Education of Graphic Artists in Warsaw which was established in 1918. In 1976, for the 50th anniversary of the school, the Letter A Monument was unveiled, carved in stone according to the design of the school's alumnus, Jan Heidrych.

Typehunting is irresistible to me, street signage and lettering in public space were always an inspiration and a lens through which I perceived geographical places. Signage can be a great record of visual style both rooted in time it was made at and in place it is located in. What’s fascinating to me is that often lettering was done by either people with rather technical than artistic skills or amateurs (in a positive sense of that word). Thanks to this letters were given an interesting flavour, and sometimes useen typographical solutions. That is when my mind opens, I need to stop and document it. Some examples/typehunts may end up being a starting point of a new typeface. 🤩 This time I have hunted a beautiful piece of street signage — enamel board located in the modernist housing colony „Grey houses” build in late 1920’s in Warsaw. #typehunting

Our favourite projects ‘25 - 8️⃣ Horyzonty Scholarship is a program supporting ambitious young people who need resources and mentorship to pursue their goals. Created by the EFC Foundation in partnership with the Starak Foundation, it empowers students through education, community, and equal access to opportunities- and we’re truly happy and proud to have been part of designing this meaningful project. #studiolekko #EFC

For the “Kwestia Kobieca” exhibition at @msnwarszawa , we designed hyper-wide motion design banners for three long LED screens located in the underground passage of Metro Świętokrzyska — the busiest metro station in Warsaw. The main challenge of working with such an ultra-wide format was ensuring that the content remained legible and engaging regardless of where viewers were positioned. To address this, we repeated key communication elements — such as the exhibition title and logo — multiple times across the 40-meter-wide, 3-meter-high format. 👊 @szymher @loveigaa @msnwarszawa
