Last week, ELEMENT: METAL opened at Schloss Hollenegg, and I’m genuinely so happy and grateful to be part of it! ELEMENT: METAL 9 May – 31 May 2026 Open Saturdays & Sundays, 11am–6pm at Schloss Hollenegg for Design The first time I was invited to Hollenegg was in 2022 with Many to Many — we spent ten unforgettable days there, surrounded by wonderful female artists, inspiring conversations, and an atmosphere that stayed with me long after leaving. Returning this year felt incredibly special and totally familiar at the same time! This time, together with @annazimmermann.eu , we had the chance to give a welding workshop, which made the experience even more meaningful! There’s something about this place that always leaves a mark on me — the atmosphere, the history of the castle, the way craftsmanship, art, and design naturally come together, and of course Alice’s warm hospitality that makes everyone feel instantly at home. Every visit leaves me inspired and full of new ideas to bring back home! Feeling especially grateful to @schlosshollenegg and @alicestori for creating such a unique and generous space for artists, makers, and exchange 💛💛💛 With works by @jordi_alb , @klemens_schillinger , @elliotthundley , @maxlamb , @lealiebl , @mantas_lesauskas , @sabine_marcelis , @philippemalouin , @junkomori44 , @altynarty , @soft_baroque , @elenariener , @ildar.wafin , @lorenzozerbini and of course @annazimmermann.eu 🌸

A little golden hat flew over the sea, a shining ceiling light, for Oigall to be, crowned with a gemstone, refined and bright — a golden piece, a sculpted light. New ceiling light — available through @oigall_projects

two tall slender shelves in blackened steel, we called them Eternal Elders. Standing anchored in the room, like pillars, ready to carry the souvenirs of life. With sections that begin narrow and gradually widen, they hold minor and major memories. For these shelves, Lisa proposed creating small brooches from her personal collection; pearls, coral, elforyn, pieces of wood, pennies, pebbles and ceramics. We turned them into magnets. These small presences can be attached to the shelves and move across their surface - jewellery for the furniture. collaboration with @lisascherebnenko available trough @stvincents , 📸 by @kate.dvne

06.03 — 18.04.26 Meet Me In The Middle explores the imprint of jewelry on spatial design—a focus that emerged from the realization that the practices we were drawn to shared an unspoken, almost subconscious connection to intimacy. The exhibition brings together eight female designers who navigate this terrain. For some, this traces back to foundational training; for others, it appears as an inherited sensitivity to material, symbolism, or touch. Rather than a deliberate translation of the small into the large, this connection takes the form of an instinct that persists—an attention to closeness and detail that remains intact as scale expands. The result is a collection of functional works that ask to be lived with, yet treated with the reverence of an heirloom.

My new favorite portrait, shot by @marisol___mendez during the photoshoot for an upcoming interview by Alex aka @tiwa_select , featured in the latest @thebeyondnoise publication! So grateful to be among this incredible line-up of female designers. The shoot took place at @stvincents in Antwerp, right next to me, partner in crime the Lady Glove floor lamp in stainless steel. Can’t wait to finally hold it in my hands! Thank you all so much! 🌹🌹🌹 outfit by @hollelewisjr 💞

IN YEARNING On view until 30th of November Saturday-Sunday 1-6PM @cour_space co-curated by @mcdonahlds 🌹 with works by: Adeline Halot, Agnieszka Owsiany, Alana Burns, Charlotte Bombel, Charlotte Perriand, Gae Aulenti, Grace Atkinson, Hannah Kuhlmann, Ivania Carpio, Kiki Goti, Kira Wilson, Lisa Scherebnenko, Nana Ditzel, Nathalie van der Massen, Noëmi Orgaer, Rooms Studio, White Dirt, Yoonjeong Lee Many of the practices now described as interior design first emerged in domestic settings. They were shaped by people working outside institutions, often women. Guided by intuition and touch, grounded in everyday life. These practices were never only aesthetic. They carried knowledge and memory, quiet, but forceful. (…) This isn’t about comfort, or nostalgia in the sentimental sense. It’s about the interior as a space where memory lingers, and meaning is made, sometimes held, sometimes reshaped. That’s where the work sits: in the tension, in the care, in the act of holding something close. In yearning. -Donah Elkabas photos by @eliasasselbergh @ange_jules
