Last year, on an @Amtrak trip around the country, I had the opportunity to see two places I had worked on campaigns to better protect.
1. Columbia River, Oregon/Washington
As part of a wider river protection project, I worked on a team examining dam removal on the Snake River, a tributary of the Columbia River. Removing these dams would restore habitat connectivity for endangered fish species, revitalizing the entire ecosystem.
2. Castner Range National Monument, El Paso, Texas
I worked closely with the Castner Range National Monument campaign, which had been working for decades to protect around 7,000 acres at the heart of El Paso as a national monument. In March 2023, President Biden designated Castner Range as a national monument, committing to opening the once-shuttered land to public access.
Grabbed some photos at some legendary sets at Plantasia Fest at the @gpconservatory last night. Unreal place to take in some music.
Tried to tag folks where I knew handles, adding @emptybottle and @sacredbones and (of course!) @mort.garson here.
P.S. Happy to send full-res images to anyone tagged, Insta absolutely baked these photos on the upload.
Argyle New Year is a highlight of living on the Far North Side every year, and I’ve had the honor of documenting it for @senmikesimmons the past two years.
Wanted to make something to share some of my favorite photos from the past two years.

FROM THE STUCAGO VAULTS: A roll of B&W, shot circa 2023, that just so happens to contain so many of my dearest friends from my time in D.C.
This roll includes some snaps from a little weekend Acela ride up to Boston (shout-out @amtrak , love you).
