The new EMG Children's Garden at @gpconservatory is about more than play; it’s about belonging and discovery for every child who explores our indoor nature oasis.
The updated EMG Children’s Garden features a variety of interactive zones designed to spark curiosity and creativity, including the Curiosity Canopy, The Lucky Climber, and the Art and Sculpture Gallery. Each space offers hands-on opportunities for children to explore science, nature, and the arts in meaningful and imaginative ways. Thanks to the Garfield Park Conservatory Alliance, @chicagoparks Natural Resources team, 28th Ward Alderman, Jason Ervin & the Elizabeth Morse Genius Charitable Trust that pushed this project to the finish line.

It’s all happening! Yesterday was filled with hope and gratitude 🎉✂️💚 We cut the ribbon on the reimagined indoor Elizabeth Morse Genius Children’s Garden and today we officially opened to the public! We are empowering the next generation of environmental stewards with the knowledge, confidence and connection to nature needed to drive lasting change. We are honored by all the support - thank you for believing in us! We are excited to celebrate and elevate the Garfield Park Conservatory & Gardens as a historic shining jewel; no longer a hidden gem. This new garden is an incredible, accessible resource that we cannot wait to welcome you and your family.
