Happy #WildflowerFriday! This week's wildflower is the Marsh Marigold!
✏️ Latin: Caltha palustris
🚪 On the Isle of Man, it was considered a good omen, and the flowers, known as 'Mayflowers', were strewn on doorsteps.
💧 Its scientific name, palustris, is Latin for “of a marsh” and is often found in wet forests, near springs, and marshes.
🌼 While beautiful and has some medicinal uses, it can cause skin irritation.

Thank you to all our Twilight in the Park guests and supporters. It was an amazing evening with engaging programming, an auction full of amazing items, and a beautiful venue.
We heard from F. Philip Barash, our Executive Director, and Board Members and raised over $282K. We can't thank you enough for making this evening so special.

I am finally getting around to sharing work from the first Umemi celebration at the Lincoln Park Conservatory a few Sundays ago! @lpconservancy
It was my first time in the Alfred Caldwell Lily Pond and it was such a treat to discover this garden more deeply through this activity! As opposed to the vegetables and seasonal produce from the farmers market, we found inspiration in the flowers around the garden, using clipboards to draw our e-tegamis in their context!
Redbuds and phlox were in bloom and those captured many eyes!
I really enjoyed meeting and chatting with you all about your cards and the activity! Hope to see you at another event soon!
Until next time!
