It's coronation day!!!
April showers truly do bring May flowers, and what better way to celebrate a new month than revealing our design for
@emeraldcitytheatrical production of Disney's Frozen!
Our production highlights the beautiful architectural style of Norway, the country in which Arendelle is based off of. We also utilized Norway's rosemaling motifs, a common decorative style used in traditional Nordic architecture. This motif subtly calls back to Anna's bright and floral personality, as well as the sweeping swirls and curls of Elsa's ice powers.
Another huge inspiration for this design draws from the illustrative work of
@janbrett1
Her work primarily features beautiful snowy landscapes, lush florals, and beautiful proscenium like layouts: all factors that fit perfectly for this production.
