HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH. Today, as I submit the final draft of my thesis on this project, I’m reflecting on the indescribable experience that was Hedwig. This show was my magnum opus of my college experience, and by far the hardest I’ve ever worked on a show. Having the opportunity not only to select a show for myself, but to star in, direct, costume and makeup design, and market it is one that I know I won’t have again for a long time, and I’m so thankful for that opportunity and all the support it took to make it happen. To @cooper_lamontagne - Thank you for giving me the platform to do something like this and allowing me the creative freedom to push this project to its limits. Your ability to just figure out how to make things happen will never cease to amaze me. To the @the.how.bazar team - Your space has been one of community and solace for me for my entire college experience. Than you for opening your doors to us and supporting our endeavors. To @carolinemckinney30 - Thank you for picking up the phone and coming back to the world of theatre for this. Without your beautiful organizational mind this show would’ve been a mess. To our band - @jenmoloneyy @nickhartttt @nic.butakow @mmacymartin - you are the true rockstars. You all pushed this project into a different dimension, and I’m so grateful I got to bear witness to your talents. To @johncameronmitchell and @stephentrask - It’s been amazing to connect with the both of you. Thank you for your kind words, and thank you for creating this piece of art which I hold so sacred, and has touched so many people across borders. It’s been an honor to carry on your legacy. And to @jaylinchiara_ - My Yitzhak, you are the magic and the soul of this production. This show would have been hollow without your contribution to it. Your dedication, your vulnerability, your quiet pain and fury that commands attention, and your heart made this show whole. To our cast, crew, supporters, and everyone involved with this show, thank you for bringing my crazy little dream to life. photos by @bri.tography_ @dharrisfilms

Introducing the cast of Heated Ribaldry! Starring Eli Hamilton @elijahhamilton as Shane and Ethan Garrepy @ethangarrepy as Ilya, the production features a dynamic ensemble including John Teixeira as Scott, Derick Taylor-White as Kip, and Aaliyah Amarante, Roselyn Garcia, Daniel Martinez rounding out out ensemble — delivering powerhouse vocals, bold characters, and undeniable chemistry. Inspired by the hit TV series Heated Rivalry, this unapologetically bold production follows superstar hockey rivals Ilya and Shane, whose on-ice competition melts into something far more unexpected. Featuring live music, sultry choreography, and a delightfully over-the-top Russian dream ballet, this is Fringe at its most fearless. Whether you’re an opera aficionado, a Fringe junkie, or someone who’s never set foot in either world, Heated Ribaldry will be the show everyone is talking about at this year’s festival! RENT Believe it or not, but I, too, was once a Rent hater. As I’ve talked about ad nauseam in all of my many post-show instagram posts, I’m at my most proud as an artist when my art is politically charged, and one of my complaints going into the show was that I felt it wasn’t “political enough” for me. That it didn’t have anything to say about our current political climate, that it didn’t address the causes it seems to advocate for head-on. It took doing the show to realize how relevant it still is. How punk and political Rent is just by existing, and how revolutionary it was when it first premiered at NYTW in 1996. Every day I get more and more frightened as I look at the direction it seems our country is heading in, and what makes it worse was seeing in real time why we need these stories to keep being told. Whether it’s 1989 or 2025 we keep seeing people be silenced for speaking their truths, and marginalized by the systems meant to protect them. PEOPLE OF COLOR ARE NOT EXPENDABLE. QUEER PEOPLE ARE NOT EXPENDABLE. DISENFRANCHISED AND UNHOUSED PEOPLE ARE NOT EXPENDABLE. We have to continue to make our voices heard and pass these stories down before they’re silenced or erased. I’m so honored to have been able to play this role, which I can easily say is the most difficult thing I’ve done so far in my career. It’s crazy to think that this is the end of my time here, but I’m so lucky to have had this experience, and to have been carried by this amazingly talented group of people that I have the privilege of calling my family. Goodbye, SoTD. I’ll call. MACBETH On our first rehearsal, @kaitlin.jh used one word to describe this play: relentless. It runs like a train, or a snowball, rapidly growing more gruesome as it goes on. Watching this play is physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausting. it takes a toll on you, and I got the pain and pleasure of watching it every single night from my witch hole on stage right. I’m not sure I could put into words what this process was for me. Getting the opportunity to craft this creature was both a joy and a challenge. I got to put into practice my study of theatre and horror, referencing my favorite pieces of media and combining them to create something new. It was crafting both with thought and instinct, and I relished in the messy, animalistic nature of it all. Overall, this was an exercise in discovery, learning to develop perspective, figure out how this body works, how to talk, how to be human and inhuman simultaneously, and the end result wasn’t like anything I’ve done before. Another important aspect of this play is time. In the full play, it appears 45 times. Time is cyclical, and getting to watch the action play out over and over, night after night, made this fact even more pertinent to me. It brings up a question that I think a lot of people have, which is why we continue to teach and engage with Shakespeare 400 years after his death. People think that this text is far from understandable, but the text, if you listen, becomes continually relevant to our world. This show reminded me of the ephemeral nature of theatre. Like time, it’s here for one moment and passed by in the next. There won’t be another time in which I share the stage with this specific group of people, doing this particular show, but there was a time in which I did. Thank you for letting me be a part of this company.
