Grlswirl has been meeting for our Group Skates infront of the V for years! The V’s official name is “Declaration” - created by artist Mark di Suvero who lives in Petaluma and was born in 1933 making him 92 the same age as my Papa. It was installed in 2001 on a 6 month loan and it’s been here for over two decades. There have been multiple claims over the years that it will be taken down, but it still remains!
& oh how I love the Venice Pier - truly one of my favorite places on the planet.
So fun to creative direct, dabble in styling and collaborate with everyone for this one!

Nathan, the beloved “Piano Man” of Venice boardwalk for 22 years, had his piano confiscated and destroyed in a “boardwalk sweep.” Nathan experiences homelessness and has nowhere to store his piano.
