Beach Activations announces our inaugural event, CYCLE I, PHASE IV, taking place on the sand at Venice Beach on Sunday, November 9th from 3:30 PM through sunset. This new seasonal performance art series draws upon collective ritual, somatics and participation to connect people to the earth, water and one another through radically embodied, time-based practices.

Founded and curated by Erin Desmond with Shirley Morales as founding producer, this first iteration draws upon the most ancient of materials–sand, salt and body–as well as the newest forms of media, to explore possibilities of harmony between touch, technology and time. Three performances that evoke submergence are presented:
